Is that because of my previous post regarding the dress?
I’m sure you look just as good at Bette Midler or Kathy Bates in a dress.

Criticism is always welcome, my skin is extremely thick. The rear extinguisher is just that, for the rear. I have others in the passenger compartment. My OCD is almost as bad as @NLXTACY ’s
I could not do what you did....yet. Silly of me to think you only had one, considering the extent of all work in that small corner. To be honest, I had nothing else I could possibly contribute. Inspiring work man.

Just looking through the build thread @ ewillis (awesome), I'm a noob to this site, and just making conversation, never even really posted anything online before, know nothing about internet etiquette, just realized you guys all ride together out there on the west coast, y'all have a impressive trail crew. Very cool. Here in NYC metro we don't have much of a off road culture, so I'm a little overenthusiastic. And, us NY'ers tend to yap a bit much for most everybody else. You all have great rigs, I'm just starting with mine that's lived in NYC it's whole life. I've got rust that needs descaling, and it will cost me. Much respect, call me out on anything, that's how we make conversation in our neck of the woods. I'll chill out a bit.
Ranch dressing should never be served with hot wings. We’re cool.

Step #1 before any work on this east coast rig.

Nice control, not your first descent, is it.

Your are correct not the first...me and a buddy accidentally found it but the first time
There was a stare at each other than a 2 sec.
Moment of silence lol
Now it is just a part of the usual trail...you can actually feel the balancing point.

Not exactly this weekend but new shoes. Love them.

Fixing bad gears in front diff, leaking arb line, TG spindle nut kit, arp studs, new Aisin hubs to finalize the part time.
Monstaliner. I sprayed then back rolled.
Wrenching rampage almost over. Ha. Just have to bend some tube armor, set up diff, and reassemble front.

Sorry you ordered from them. I bought them and it is the biggest regret on my 80. The fitment was awful, I had to chop and re-weld the brackets to make it fit correctly. Also the first time I came down on the off road I bent them and they are touching the body again. I called them about it and they said that they knew the mounting brackets werent strong. Terrible company and sh*t head owner/customer service. If is isnt too late cancel your order and go with someone else.

Also I know someone in the club Im I am a member of and he also had fitment issues. Just a heads up.

Cancelled them after seeing all the bad press on them ! and thanks for your input as well !

Very easy. Only thing that gave me trouble was the furthest manifold nut. Went through the wheel well with a swivel ratchet extension. My buddy drew up some block off plates and is cutting them today. When I redo my exhaust I will move the o2 sensors here.

Go to WitsEnd (@NLXTACY) and get the necessary "keychains" to avoid problems and know that they fit your truck. Seriously. Go Look.

The only other truck I've seen with THAT much corrosion is @Golgo13 ....That's that ugly North / Midwest / NE salt that eats EVERYTHING.

You need to do a search here for Fluid Film. Many posts and techniques.

Or buy one from CA, then use Fluid Film to keep it around......

I appreciate it, i know about those. buddy is an engineer with a very very nice shop at his disposal, free for me and fun for him.

No worries. Just thought if it could save some time and frustration. Someone else has already done it and you don't have to spend the time.

Good Luck!

Is it possible my brake system is contaminated?

I think I got the second seized up caliper (different one) in one month.

I drive in my flip flops if that helps at all.
