Took the GF, dog, and kids camping in Baja California. First time camping with 5 people in the car. Saw the first gray whale baby of the year born in Laguna San Ignacio this season. Camped about as far west at Laguna San Ignacio as possible by vehicle. Also camped several miles north of Bahia de los Angeles. Used the new-to-me off road trailer for the first time. Those are gray whale vertebrae in the second to last pic below.

How cold is it down there right now?

It is quite pleasant...got down to maybe low 60s/high 50s F at night, mid-high 70s during the day. Water was a bit chilly.

@western flyer Nice pics!

Just realized, are those pizotes/coati in your avatar!? Ha.

Yes...those are coatimundis (Nasua narica) from a trip to Costa Rica many moons ago. Same species (white-nosed coati) as found in Arizona and Mexico. Thanks. BTW, I think I saw your 80 in Encinitas the other day.

Spurt of the moment side project while working on new shifter linkage/converting shifter to (91-92) 7 position window.

Hole that I’m sure most everyone probably has while in drive position:

Is that a roofing vent boot? Looks good.

It’s the top of the t-case lever boot from a donor shifter assembly. So essentially it’s a OEM part :hillbilly:

You can see where I cut it off in the second pic.
