Stopped by a customer’s house to check out the siding and windows we finished up on Friday. Customer mentioned this pine tree she hated. I told her I have an axe in my truck. “Of course you do!” I busted it out and channeled my inner @woodsman 44. Made light work of it.

Looks like a great time DD!...your nice 80 build up is paying off and getting you out and exploring, and yes, right there in Gods country..;) literally lol

Oh, and like your green Sukkah ;)

Ouch!!! Hopefully you're right handed. What's the story?

Sadly nothing too cool. I was out of town for work and slipped playing ULTIMATE (an important distinction) frisbee. That happened on Wednesday. The local clinic gave me an Ace bandage and a ice pack:rolleyes: Flew home yesterday and went in for x-rays. I like airports even less with a busted hand.

I did this same thing (right hand) on Christmas Eve a couple years back with a corded hammer drill . I was operating the drill, then Chuck Norris jumped out from behind the wood pile and f’d me up.

The only tacos that are worthy of being mentioned in the 80 Section.

No work and play with the 80 this weekend. I did use it to haul lumber for shelves in the garage. Reorganizing all of my parts.

dropped her off at my local shop for evaluation so we can make a plan to fix things in a logical order. I expect there is going to be a pretty big parts list that includes a case or two of pb blaster. Pockets feel lighter already! lol

They look really good. Are you happy with the final result? How long did install take?

Extremely happy. I took the seats apart and had a shop install the covers while I was doing other maintenance work on the truck as well as sending the belts out for rewebbing. I gave them just the bottom and read cushions after I removed them from the seat frame. The shop only had them for a few hours but I dont know how long it would take a normal person to install them. It took me a couple hours to remove the seats from the truck and the cushions from the frames then the reinstall. The shop charged me $200 do the covers and after seeing them I would have them do it again.

While I agree on some people tearing up spots, and making ruts with their 42” Gumbos so deep my 33’s fall into the abyss, is no fun. I also remember the patience people had with me when i was starting out in the wheeling world!
Everyone needs to work together, help each other, tread lightly and show respect for whatever land your wheeling on, because there are people who wake up every morning with the sole intention of shutting down ALL off-road areas! We cannot give them “ammo” against us, or let them win!:flipoff2:

Exactly! Sadly the many cases of trail douchebagness I've witnessed couldn't be helped by reasons because their "manliness" won't allow them to listen and take the bypass or even take easier line. Those are precisely the "that guy" that piss off everyone and give ammo to those who want to do nothing but shut everything down so no one except hairy hippies will be able to walk there to feed the bears.

Nothing says authentic tacos like Romaine lettuce! haha

I may drive 80s and wanted to be a cowboy when I was a kid but I’m not a Neanderthal! Iceberg is for plebes!

I used drop "L" brackets mounted to the extruded aluminum rails with standard 80/20 hardware. The panel did need to be spaced upward about 1/4" to then clear the roof ribs.

The panel is an old Siemens SM50 50 Watt panel that was left over from a job I did about 15 yrs ago. It is no longer in production. The closest similar thing available is something like in the link below. It is so expensive because the solar panel industry has moved to much larger (physically and electrical capacity) modules as the norm. Small dimension, 12V panels are an odball in today's market.

Depending on how much it is worth to you though, the 51" length fits PERFECTLY between the frame rails of the rack. Didn't plan it that way, it just worked out.

Ok, I hate to ask this, but what L Bracket did you use? Amazon link?

I just pulled my brackets out of my scrap parts bin but you are looking for "L Feet" mounting or standoff brackets for solar panels. Use aluminum brackets and stainless hardware (as the frame of the solar panel is aluminum and maybe your rack is too) to prevent corrosion between dissimilar metals.

A quick search of "solar panel mounting hardware" on Amazon yielded the following link. "L" feet come in all styles and dimensions so make sure the dimensions work for your application.
