Finished another bunch of 80 series rack work for the night. Made sure to open a more manly beer on the bumper of my 80 with my BC opener so as not to offend @LS1FJ40 !

I got the solar panel nestled down below the crossbar level so I can still use the full rack when needed. Next up is L-track runners down the sides for tie-down points.

Additionally - found out the rack runs through the auto carwash just fine. The operator looked at it for a bit, shrugged, and let it through. Worked out fine.

Which solar panel did you use? Can you take pics of your setup

Did the Landtank Seat Bracket install a couple of weekends ago.
Made a video on the install.
I love the work and quality of the landtank bracket, but the stock ,heavy leather seats are barely worth all that work.
If I had the choice again I would go with installing better seats from a range rover or something.
But I am very happy with the leg room. The back rest does lean back a little bit, not too bad. Sometimes I like to sit straight up. but most of the time I do lean back a little anyways so its not too bad. Just that now, I can't get the back rest up if I feel like sitting straight up.
I kind of made up for it by using the lumbar support all the way forward.
Here's the clip:

Most frustrating part change of my life! Such a simple procedure that's such a PITA.
Have you replaced the VSV with the upper plenum still attached?

Took the neglected cruisers out today.. been having too much fun with the 200 we got a couple months back, these poor rigs just been sitting.. Picnic with the fam full of lead...

No but I wouldn't attempt to, either. I've replaced the hoses on it but if I had to replace the actual VSV I'd save myself the tedious headache and just remove the plenum. And if I removed the plenum I'd replace that damn fuel filter again and relocate the VSV for future endeavors!

Over the past few weekends I:

Moved from the SF Bay to NE Ohio - couldn’t be happier to be home.

Stuffed my fusible link with dialectric grease and solved my low idle issue. Now for the knock sensor code...

Also found that I’m getting 9.6mpg (limp mode mpg?) so I bought a 48.7mpg daily:

I gotta do the same thing to my white cruiser. Turns out a couple does have been repainted with what looks like no clear coat.

What are you doing with your paint? Can you describe the process and purpose?

The white 80's ar single stage paint originally, no clear

80s with white paint should be single stage paint with no clear coat. That is one of the perks of white paint...

Nice timing Pat! haha
