Replaced the L brackets that came with my Faux Wing Awning with Yakima Awning Brackets and Clamps its a great system and pretty sturdy. I had to turn the holes into slots to fit my awning but not a big deal couple of quick cuts with the dremel and good to go.

Replaced the rear decklid because of the typical rusty hole they always get. Only broke 1 bolt (cheap Japanese nuts and bolts!!) The 'new' one doesn't have the rear spoiler. There goes my MPG!
And...after I took a short trip I got some strange gravel like noise...I think the water pump is on it's last leg.

Where do they normally rust at?

Mine was rusted around the window, particularly at the bottom of the window.

Yikes! I wondered because mine has it a little around the window and one big spot like yours but on the exact opposite side. Seems like a very random spot for rust. I wonder why they do that

Valve clearances were done last summer, all squared away!

@mervo Slee has a great DIY for installing suspension, if you haven't already seen it.

I mean what the heck, remove OME shocks and springs replace with Tough Dog Suspension. Feelin good about this especially after you pointed me to this article.

Mine was holding water under the rear window seal. I imagine excess water running down the inside and finding unprotected metal (especially a weld). The mist kicked up from the road would be particularly troublesome. A polyurethane treatment around the rear, similar to the front, was needed on mine and hopefully was soon enough to head off damage.

Fitted a grandpa spec sun visor I got off a wreck on Drysdale Station, on the way to Mitchel Falls. I have been carting it around for about 2000km all over the Kimberleys and found a fellow traveler in Derby with a drill to borrow

I occasionally miss my 40s. Never enough to buy another one though...yet.
