AC gauges tell me my compressor is kaput.

The good news is the RnR of the rear diff breather has bought me some time on the rear axle seals.

I'll say a week.

Maybe not. I have falling low side pressure to almost 0. High side is really low 0.14 MPa. Maybe I just have a leak.

I am planning on adding a thermal barrier to the front half and also fix the ps seat. I guess I'll take the opportunity to pull the evaporator and clean it and the blower. I can't believe they charge $40 to just pull the refrigerant.

But the bad news is you live in Tucson and your air conditioning doesn't work!

Weatherunderground says 105F-110F for the next week.

I'll drink one for ya...

Luckily for me the Cruiser isn't my DD. The AC is super cold in the 4Runner.

I'm a sweaty mess though. It sort of sucks I have more free time in the summer to work on the Land Cruiser and 4Runner.

This year I invested in a canopy and mister system. I'm about to pull the plug and get a portable swamp cooler.

Do these seat covers slide out of position when you get in and out of the vehicle? I have tried a couple of alternative and they all require re-tightening due to slippage.

Mine are covering cloth seats, so they may move less than they would over leather. Taking that into account, I will say these seat covers don't budge. Very durable as well.

We are moving to Sacramento area......nice area but gonna miss socal.

LOTS of cruiserheads in the sac area - its a good place to be if you have a cruiser and like to wrench on it and use it hard!

They recovered more refrigerant than I thought they would. 1.3llb and suppose to be 1.9llb.

I just realized I'm doing this ass backwards. I should have identified all the possible leaks and then pulled the refrigerant.

Should have made a graph of it.

It's a weekday so I worked the old girl. Early start to wood season feels good.

I'm in Vacaville. I look forward to hitting the Rubicon with you. ;)

What part of town?

Going to be in el dorado hills, only exits from that little SRV park.

Hey you'll be closer to all the good trails!

Definitely looking forward to that!

Good for you! So Cal is home for me (born and raised), but we nearly pulled the trigger on moving to Tahoe this summer. Decent chance we're there next year. Scope out the trails and we'll make a run up there sometime!

Do it, Tahoe is beautiful! And I'll be only 1.5 hours away.....just like now. LOL

LOL probably true, the association is retarded as far as I can tell, all for looks really. Fortunately it's not as retarded as my dad's condo's association but that's another conversation.

And yes I have seen a few "Stepford Wives" specimens walking around. Wife really likes the Irvine planned community thing, good thing she makes good money to help pay for it. I wanted that little house on the hill with chickens for less than half the price and only a couple of miles away but wife is a true city gal. Plus the only reason I'm moving there is because she got a good gig there, so that's that.
