Used my 80 to haul a flowering crab apple tree for a customer. Her brother was a customer of mine as well (and had become a friend). He was a veteran. He recently passed away. He had mentioned a few weeks ago how much he loved flowering crab apple trees. So brought them the tree and planted it for their living memorial. We spread his ashes in with the tree.

A tremendous family that has experienced unbelievable loss (all three brothers and only son due to combat or combat related deaths).

The world is a lesser place without him but a better and safer place because of him.

Peace brother.

God bless that entire family and you for what you did for them. Classy.

Installed my 4 note GM train horns. Soooooo much more appropriate for the beast. I'll post up some pics later. Managed 2 in the OEM location with some mods and the other 2 in front of the drivers battery. Stock fuse and relay

Put it on the hoist and clean all the mud out where the pressure washer never gets
Replaced brake pads cleaned brake rotors f &r(we're rock solid with mud so wernt venting)
Exo has seen bit of action and was rusting where paint has been ground off so half way through prepping and painting that.
Windscreen has starting leaking again after a few attempts with the silicone so brought new seal and booked it in with glass guy to replace next weekend
Then 80s all ready for 6 day camping trip in july

Then I used the 80 to haul this motor grill that was Brad's. He made out a list of his belongings and said that he wanted me to have this because he knew I liked working on vehicles and was a "car guy" because we had had numerous car conversations over the past couple of years. He wrote that he knew this was the only way I'd ever own American Muscle.

Hard to even comprehend going through that kind of loss.

On a lighter note though, when will you be swapping that motor into your green 80? Just admit it, it crossed your mind.

My son said "too bad its not a 2F or 3FE. But it's still pretty bad ass! Glad it's not a 1FZ-FE, the lid would blow off when it heats up!"

Did some light wheeling and camping near Estes Park with my girlfriend in her 1st gen and our friend bob in his 3rd gen 4Runner. My trasharoo zipper gave out Memorial Day weekend and my boss gave me one of his custom ones! Then drove trail ridge road for the first time.

From a fellow Veteran..... Thank you so much for doing this! It makes the long, dark nights a lot easier to handle when I/we know there are people that appreciate the sacrifices we have made. THANK YOU Again!! Semper Fidelis

Then drove trail ridge road for the first time.

I rode that on a bicycle about 8 years ago. The downhill into Granby was one of the best bike rides of my life. 50 mph+ for 20+ miles. On a bike. I was drafting a tandem downhill and it got really dicey in a few spots. We went down faster than the cars.

replaces the axle studs and cone washers that broke when I repacked the rear wheel bearings earlier in the week. 24 years and I don't think the wheel bearings were ever repacked.

It is a sad day indeed.
If I were next to you and their family I would hug all of you. So sorry.

@dan1554 Thank you! Those are at the top of my list for purchase consideration. Goes between them and White Knuckle.
Not sure what year your 80 is. Slee only makes them for 95-97 now. Cristo said not enough 93-94 buyers to warrant making them anymore. but they still list them on there web sight.

Busy Saturday baselining my Cruiser. A/C service. Weather here is finally getting hot so time to get my a/c working. I took it in to get recharged a few weeks ago and found out I have a bad compressor a blocked condenser and some other vague issues. So yesterday my son and I replaced the compressor with a new Denso one also a new Denso condensor and Denso expansion valve. Getting a new charge tomorrow so I am hoping I got it all sorted out. Cleaned out the evaporator and took out about a cup if decomposed (composted) vegetation. I then blew out the fins of the evaporator with compressed air and reassembles it all. Also did the steering linkage firewall grommet so no more hot feel. Installed the missing rear seat step and ordered PCV part to put in next week. So not much :)

Didn't do much... Installed a decoy red light from a Toyota security switch I had bought a while back ago. :)
