When I said I was painting it green, I didn't mean original 97 green. I don't hate that color but I like other greens with less blue and no metallic much better.

Ended last night with body work done, and most taping done.

After a 14 hour day today, and some good help from my daughter, we got the epoxy sealer on it, then made it green. In the early a.m. I will get it out of the shop and on my trailer to haul home and start reassembly. Turned out pretty good. A few runs but it will need a wet sand/polish to get dirt nibs out anyway.

Now that green I like!

These seat gears from the passenger seat would explain no front to back movement. Upon testing before reinstalling the seat I experienced no backward movement, not even a grunt from the motor. I took apart the seat control and discovered the contact points on the rear movement selector were burned. Cleaned up the points with emery cloth, reassembled, tested, and it was good to go. Sorry no pics of the switch disassembled but if you've had the drivers window controller apart, the seat control is very similar except its even less complicated than the window control.

I've got to get the gears done on my seat. I had it in the rearmost position and kind of forgot about it til my 4'13" kid started driving it while I painted her truck. Oops!

Hey I am in need of adoption, to get my Cruiser painted, can I start calling you dad , I am self sufficient, and supporting I can turn a wrench, but don't paint
I will gladly trade you a 6bt swap on an 80 for me for an overall paint job for you!

Holy s**t @LS1FJ40 , did you just like green?!

I will help you seek out a red cruiser if you are ready

I broke the ladder climbing into the RTT to test and prep for camping. Which was an awkward 6' fall to my concrete patio. So ya, that tree top tent needs a taller ladder.

My buddy tried getting in his before it was bolted on his roof rack. It clamped shut on him and he rode it to the ground. Not pretty.

That would SUCK.
He knew it wasn't a good idea but he saw one lousy leaf laying in there when he opened it up, went for it and was eaten by his RTT!

I'll allow this green! Looks good. Still can't believe you painted over the best color...

The Toyota green on the 80 series is the second worst mistake Mr. T ever did (as far as Land Cruisers, we won't discuss the Previa...), behind the burgundy color.

Finally got the front seats installed in the 93!! Swapped the awful power, leather seats for 91-92 manual seats with new cloth from Land Cruiser Heaven. The color is a good match.

I still need to get new grey, manual plastic pieces to hide the sides but the seats are in.

I went to install my new clamshell for the steering column since I broke the other one (stupid tall leather, power seats!). And realized it was a spare for my 92 80 that doesn't have cruise control. So I need to order a new one.

Also installed my Wits' End Fire extinguisher mount non locking cover. With the manual seats being able to move about 2" further back than power seats it looked unfinished. I asked @NLXTACY if he had a non locking option because I didn't really want to lock it and he happened to have one! Score!

And just noticed in the picture that I unhooked the seat cover on the bottom when I was installing the passenger side...
