Were you worried about getting stuck in the snow and how you would survive? Did you look at your travel companions in a new light? Assessing their muscle mass and general tastiness?

Unfortunately it was my 5' 85 lb son. He would've killed me and been able to eat for a year...

If it were sitting in the sun the panel may have hidden the problem.

Link to write up/story? That's a hell of a recovery
Not sure on the story, but that pic has been floating FB and the interwebs for a while. Seems some club mentioned the recovery on their FB page can't recall now which one.

Finally got around to painting the lower inner fender panels that show since installing the tube bumper.

Helped a fellow mudder press in the wheel studs in the hubs of his FJ62. Then went over to another mudder's house to relax, drink beer, eat smoked meats, talk about future trips, and upcoming projects.

@LandCruiserPhil the Phalcon Trailer guys say hello.

Friendly inviting group, where you their with them?
How did the new trailer do on the Moab trails?

Chinese relay? I've seen a couple that looked similar.

Was that a cheapo Chinese relay? Buy Bosch.
I'll have to look, but probably. I bought them about 15 years a go and I've used them before without them doing this. This one was actually a temporary one until I decide how I want to lay everything out. I guess 6 months is pretty temporary lol

I didn't get to make this trip. A/C compressor crapped out, driveshaft is vibrating like a cheap motel bed, and my dog had the squirts . Maybe next year.

From the reports from my buddies and the pictures the concept trailer did really well. Which I'm glad to hear, I have some good blood and sweat in its production. Looks like we're headed to the next phase.

These are the ones I've used for my lights per @NLXTACY recommendations. No issues.

There are "Bosch type" and there are Bosch relays. I didn't realize there was a difference until Joey educated me. I had been using "Bosch type" and having intermittent issues. Swapped out for actual Bosch and no more issues.

Hummm..... I have been having weird electrical issues lately, might have to check all the relays.

So I took my marine battery to Interstate Batteries. They said the electrolytes looked good. Put it on the tester and they said the battery is good. It said he thinks there is a parasitic draw somewhere. I tried to explain the Blue Sea ACR but he was having a tough time.

He also said that even though I charged it overnight that it could've been so low it wouldn't charge it to full. So, I have it charging again.

Manager is in tomorrow. He said he will probably just warranty it out but the kid working couldn't.

I had the same kind of issue with the battery in my wife's e320 cdi. Two different stores tested it and said it was good. After charging overnight, key on battery voltage was below 12v. The car started but would struggle and most of the electronics would shut down due to low voltage until the car was started. After replacing the battery with the same size I no longer have the issue. The old batter isn't "Bad
" but it is far from good. After fully charging the battery it showed dead via hydrometer. At the end of the day the fancy load testers can't do what a simple hydometer can. Of course you would be SOL if you have a AGM battery.
