Does anybody else think its odd that @Kevin8086 posts those pictures and everybody asks what liner he has, rather than the obvious. For instance, nice dent, how'd that buff out ? Or, what's up with that horribly mangled drive shaft ? Most importantly, who's the blonde standing on the roof of your truck ?
Hahahaha. Right? Nobody asked any of the fun stuff.
Dent is going to stay because it looks awesome. Driveshaft was from an 88 4 runner that got throttle happy on a big obstacle. The blonde is my new fiancé and co-driver

The blonde may as well have been Ralphie from a Christmas Story with all of the snow gear she is wearing! Clearly @Kevin8086 needs to hit the beach and retake pics. Amateur.
You have a radar detector in an 80? Are there a bunch of long downhills in your part of texas?
My 80 came with a ram mount for the ipad from the PO. I have never used it as I don't have an ipad and not a fan of apple products in general. However I like the idea of the GPS on a screen bigger than my phone so I may have to cave at some point. Is the red staples easy button on your dash for the satellite connection?
I have had a ticket in this vehicle, 85 in a 60. I have driven as outfitted much faster. LCs do pretty well at high speed on the highway if you are used to driving them. I have had this one since 97 so we have bonded well. I am 60 now and am really starting to slow it down. I hope it is just that I am mellowing and not that my reflexes are shot.
The GPS on a bigger screen is a huge deal when you wheel in really large, wild areas with lots of side trails. You need to be able to see exactly where you are. It doesn't matter what brand of pad you run. As you can see from the photos, I am running an Android phone. An android tablet will fit in the ram mount just like an iPad. The red staples button is the "Dual" external GPS unit. It works very well and connects via bluetooth to whatever "pad" you are using. You can also hit the button and get ink for your printer delivered right to your truck!

Anyone know the best product to use to seal up these trim bracket holes? They are leaking water onto my rear seatbelt bases, and I need to seal them up before putting the exterior trim back on. Thanks for any suggestions. View attachment 1433959

Ih8mud community, meet Cobbles. Truck is a '92 HDJ81 with waaaaay more mileage than the dash reflects. I've had this truck for a couple years now after saving it from a fate worse than rust at the hands of a neglectful previous owner. Slowly been tinkering away on the cheap, and now that its become a solid ride from a maintenance point of view I can start with the fun stuff. Rear bumper, sliders and underbody protection courtesy of leftover materials from other projects. New used wheels and tires the most recent addition.
