From what I've read on it you won't see any difference but idk

I've read good things on it, however, I am really finding it hard to find any noticeable performance difference. Don't get me wrong I was not expecting it to act like a rocket ship but as of now I am a little disappointed. Hopefully, I find an MPG increase.

Had to take down the batting cage. Snow is coming. So this delayed the fuel filter job a little while...

So this is happening. Not the worst job in the world. It was made a lot easier by moving the oil dip stick and removing the charcoal canister. I'm removing the charcoal canister anyway so it made sense.

This is the fuel that came out of the fuel filter. Looks dirty...

Made a new negative battery cable so I could finally put the new OEM negative terminal and make it a cleaner set up...

My 80 remained parked in the driveway and we took my wife's car to the hospital to have our first baby! Meet Sylvia.

Sorry it's not 80 related but it will be because she will be riding in it often!

Received my new OPOR Sliders on Friday, cleaned them up and rattle canned them today in prep for install tomorrow. I have to say I am mighty impressed with them and Metal Tech. Ordered them last Friday evening and they arrived at my work (over a thousand miles away) in a week. These things are very stout and I will have zero concerns about damaging my 80 once they are installed. And they cost just $680 delivered to SoCal.

I hemmed and hawed about which slider to buy or if I should just build them myself, after (too) much hand wringing I finally found out the OPOR sliders were on sale at MetalTech and they now included the rear dimple plate as standard so I pulled the trigger. I wish I would have seen these in person earlier and just skipped all the unnecessary waffling. Sweet Jesus, these are the deal of the century and I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

Wow, congratulations! Your first kid!

You dont know it, but those lights you see in the distance are the bus that's about to run you over! But don't worry, it will be an awesome ride and you would never want to trade it for the world.

I feel your pain. No really my hands still hurt from swapping out my fuel filter a few days ago. It took me 45 min just to get the rear bolt threaded. I had the same china made filter that I removed. Also installed the Toyota oem filter. I cut open the old filter and was not impressed with their design.

Congrats! Beautiful girl! Both of my kids came home in my 92 80. One of the many reasons I won't get rid of it.

Hope you got everything done on your 80. See you back on here in 5-6! Haha

That's Kevin's property isn't it. I can just tell. :)
Hahahaha The one and only Sutter Creek Pick-n-Pull! Yeah poor old bessie ended up there in the meantime to live with the other field of hopeless 60s!

G and Kevin are going to pick her apart (axles and t case) since the heads off Bessie ended up on Doms buggy. So the Hoopty kind of lives on!!! The 80 needs more ricey straight pipe in Bessies honor!
