This is a Combo. I'm guessing pizza flavor. Not sure if the vintage but I'm guessing I just started the zombie apocalypse. I tossed it in the grass and it was gone a little while later. Something ate it. It had to be years old. It was vile!

I laid the rear cargo area vinyl in to see how it fit and looks. Perfect fit. Looks great too! Can't wait to finish the install. Ordered 4 yards of Thermozite sound deadened and heat shield. @reevesci hooked me up with where to get it. Half the price of Amazon. I'll gladly wait a couple days.
I fixed my Wits' End Anderson Power Pole. @NLXTACY mocked me for installing it upside down. I feel better.
And just so I didn't feel like I didn't get anything accomplished today I swapped out my PCV valve and grommet. Well, part of the grommet anyway. The other part fell down in the valve cover. Maybe it will seal up my valve seals...
I'm guessing the PCV was original. 23+ years old. It looks bad. How do you test it to see if it is bad?

I'm a HUGE AMAZON supporter, BUT somethings just have to be sourced elsewhere!
Does the PCV rattle? if not its completely plugged. If it is working properly you should be able to put your finger over the end and shake the valve. It should create a suction.
Personally I'd just buy a new one for 7$ish from Mr.Yota if its old. I change these out every spark plug change.

Yeah. I swapped it out. I had it sitting in my bin o' parts that are waiting to get installed. It takes 5 minutes to do. The old one looks like crap but I didn't know how to actually tell if it was bad or not. Thanks!

I've found soaking them in soap & water makes most gunk just rinse off.. no q-tip needed.
Ended up doing the same with my entire center console.. filthy animals indeed.
Oh and I removed my carpet last weekend for new insulation and cleaning. Took me an hour with a garden hose to get most of the runoff to be somewhat clear.. literally looked like espresso when first rinsing. So aside from the $18 in change I found under the console/kick plates, they probably spilled a small fortune in coffee.
Also, I got some new jute matting with foil on one side hoping it'd do a better job of excluding heat from the cab. Turns out the stuff isn't as thick as the stock carpet padding.. so not sure if it'll help. I did cover the whole floorboard in it though, instead of leaving large uncovered areas like from the factory.

Yeah, had a fair amount of change. And hair ties. Weird.
I ordered Thermozite. It was about $80 for 4 yards of 48". I guess the stuff is amazing. Heat shield and deadener. It's only 1/4" thick.
Went for a drive and spent some time aligning them. Holy smokes these puppies are nice.

I am about to do the same thing, well the thermozite part, have 4. Yards of it waiting patiently for me get down time to take out the carpet and power wash it. The PO probably spilled gallons of coke or Pepsi back in the days.

I think I fixed my 80's cooling problem. While towing the Turtleback last weekend in 90* weather, the A/C cut off a few times when I tried to push to 70-75 mph. Backing off to 65 mph would bring it back on.
After some Mud research, I learned about the A/C-engine temp override. Thinking back, I realized I washed the worst of the GSMTR mud off the outside/underside of the truck but didn't want to use the pressure washer on the engine so I inadvertently skipped the radiator too.
Rinsing it with the hose this weekend while I gave the 80 a good cleaning yielded a TON of muddy water. I am optimistic that was my problem because the rest of the system was baselined by ACC (new water pump, fan clutch, drain & fill when they did my head gasket).

My stock receiver hitch was rusted badly, enough that I could stick my fingers through the holes in the side plates. Threw that away, and made a little version to bolt to the pintle-hitch holes in the rear bumper. Not really planning on towing anything with it, possibly my tiny trail trailer at some point...but I wanted something there anyway.

Yesterday got stuck in the 105E freeway so this is the view from inside tow truck...sad sight indeed.
And this comes about a week or two that I finally passed my smog after a year long attempt. I think it's gonna be AFM since that was last thing I replaced. Stupid AFM!!!
