Popped the hood this morning to find this little puddle of coolant. I guess my PAIR deletion has just moved up the list. I had planned to replace that coolant hose with the new model from the '95 crusier.

I picked up some goodies from my Toyota dealer yesterday. It's funny, when I say that I feel like a dope head talking about picking up some smack. I guess this is where the addiction metaphor comes in to play.

Anyway, I picked up the gaskets for the PAIR system and EGR system so I can have block off plates made. Have some more research to do prior to completing this. Also picked up a couple of knuckle port plugs (where you fill your knuckles with grease). Mine on the 93 were pretty goobered up from the PO. I wish this plug was a hex head. Would make so much more sense.

Also picked up a new PCV valve and grommet.

Finally going to tackle the oil pump cover seal and the crankshaft seal tomorrow. AFTER my son and I go fishing. Going to flush the coolant system thoroughly and switch over to the standard green. Figured I'd go ahead and do that at the same time that way I can pull the radiator to give me more access to the oil pump cover and crankshaft seal. Plus I need to put new foam around the radiator. When the PO replaced the radiator he didn't replace the foam.

A few months back I spilled diesel all over the tailgate carpet and have never been able to get rid of the smell. So I ripped it out, but the bare metal isn't the most comfortable place to sit, and it makes for a lousy cutting board/table when camping. So this weekend I took a bunch of scraps from other projects around the house and made myself a super cheap, functional tailgate cutting board. Used materials: scrap 9mm marine plywood, 6 drywall screws, 6 washers, teak oil, paintbrush, and the OEM plastic plugs from the carpet I pulled. New materials: 1.5mm grease mat, 1 tube silicone adhesive. Total cost: under $15. The grease mat dampens vibrations/noise, and I simply screwed the wood and grease mat through the plastic plugs. It's not perfect, but it's better than what I had before, and the budget is right.

Hmm... Idk either. What happen to your roof rack?
Sold it, didn't use it enough. And am designing one, that works better for me.

I guess they fit the "utilitarian" ideal of the 80. I'm not sure the fit the coolness of the rest of your truck though...
Where do put a light bar if you don't have a roof rack though? One good thing, zero hood glare now. And it's so bright that I blind the birds in midair and they crash. Nah, not really but it is really bright.

How cheaply can you get those made?
There is an OEM part for this.. 17148-41010 Retail is less than $14 ea.

I made EGR block off plates using some ¼ " steel and spent about 5 dollars on the plate itself.
