Ha Ha ... Funny ! Nice post !
It was an old Holloween post I made, but that's the pickle fork used to get my steering stabilizer loosend, worked good.

@AlohaJen: I didn't know a pickle fork looked like that, so thanks for the post.

Today, I got new rear rotors, new Toyota rear brakes, fixed the passenger side window (it wouldn't go up), and flushed/filled the transmission fluid.

I'm ready to head to Death Valley/Mengle Pass with my youngest daughter who loves camping/offroading. She's going to college in the Fall, so this is going to be a daughter/dad trip. Her best friend and her best friend's dad are going too. I'll post pictures of the trip when I get back.

Last Sunday I just had to "Get out of Dodge" as some would say... I took my girls to Pismo/Oceano dunes it's a great place to go & drive on the sand.
My 9 year old shot a video for me, I just have to laugh from a father's heart... its definitely an narrative from her veiw point. At least it made me laugh. Enjoy.
Oh yeah I also got stuck... then I twisted that dial on the dash & back right out.

BAHAHAHA!!! I love the narrative!

You need a giant pickle fork like this and beat the devil out of it!

Good on you. I liked this one the first time as well.

One thing about that steering stabilizer, my local parts place had a no-name kit with a removable post and nut assembly where you could just put a standard shock absorber in its place. That's what I have on mine, now. and if/when I replace it, I'll just clip the safety wire, remove the nut and swap it out.

Pickle forks should come with instructions "This tool must be used while you yell profanity at whatever it is your are trying to remove". My stabilizer would not come off until I told the kids to cover their ears!!

I did rear EBC green stuff pads and rotors last night, took 4 hours!

I am probably the only idiot that moves south then buys a truck from Jersey. I will try and post up a pic of my driver rear shock. The top sleeve looks like a rusted up banana peel being peeled back....it will make more sense after the pic :-)

Next plugs, wires, belts, oil change and send out a sample to look for head gasket issues, blue hub fan mod, heater valve and hoses, plus PHH. It never ends....oh and baby number 3 will be here Wed. so no rush lol....it never ends

Just was driving along in my 93 and lost power. As in I still had lights and everything but no oomph on the pedal. Fuel gauge needle is all the way to the bottom but I didn't have a fuel light. Sat for a minute and it started back up. Drove a mile and it did it again.

Im so happy @alohajen is back. I feared the openly misogynistic state supported bullying she was subjected to had put an end to one of the brightest parts of this little forum.
The "tech" for all If was going to buy something for the job Pickle fork vs. gear puller? Im guessing pickle fork is cheaper

My fuel light burned out on my 95...I hope that's all it is.

Yes there was some high decibel profanity used as well ... but it's just easier to goto the mechanic flip him a c note and get it swapped out !

Fuel pump going out ? or air from a pinhole in the fuel lines ?

You will pay dearly for that comment. Self fulfilling prophecy.

MY 1FZ-FE will start exhausting gold out the tailpipe!!

Classic!

I figured out what the problem was. Today is Earth Day. Mother Earth was not happy with my owning 3 80s that chug gallons of fuel every week. So she messed with me. I've never run out of gas in my 25 years of driving. But I did on Earth Day.

Ha ... that certainly helps the truck run better when you have gas ... lol ... glad it was something simple !

now that I have the OME stock height done and will be getting the stabilizer done this afternoon ... bailing out to Tahoe with my girlfriend to enjoy ! Taking the nikon for better pics this time ! Hope all enjoy their weekend !
