Changed old radiator with new one.

That old rag.... found it in a thrift store.....:flipoff2::)

Haha

I'm gonna sneak one out in my lunch box a la Johnny Cash when I'm at Joey's. It's cheaper that way! Amirite @NLXTACY?!?!

Need a bigger lunch box for everything though...

Just opened it up a bit with a hammer where it is flat coming out of the centre of the filter. It may be just in the mind but I think my EGTs are a bit lower across the board. A 1FZ lid might be the way I go eventually, they look like they would flow reasonably well.

Yeah the 1fz lid is mentioned in the intake mod thread in the diesel section, it's meant to make some improvement over the 1hz/1hd lid. I will get around to trying it after I get my supra turbo bolted in.

I took my nine year old grandson on a Youth Spring Turkey hunt Saturday and Sunday. We heard lots of gobbling both days, but wasn't able to get one to come to our calls. We had a great time together anyway enjoying the Lord's creation. The Cruiser enjoyed being out in the woods too.

I took some students of mine to the Mogollon Rim--a student of mine made this short video:

Zona

Chased electrical gremlins, dismantled the PS door of Ed to get a door latch for another mudder. Drove it in mall mode. Waiting for powder coater to finish the roof rack.

New Phillips 9012 bulbs in the low beams. Swapped the drivers side seat gear, and ordered a metric sheeet ton of parts...I'm gonna be busy soon...

Bhicks dual switch mount to replace storage tray slot in dash.

OME stock height springs from Samir

From Beno:
OEM rear shocks (already have new fronts)
100 series front pads
80 series rear pads
Drive belts
both belt tensioners
oil pump gasket and screws

Ebay:
Exhaust insulation tape for EGR system
Dow Corning 55 O ring Lubricant

Already on hand:
Front crank seal
Other misc seals/gaskets that are in the way.
Alternator brushes
Printed off about 40-50 pages of the FSM for EGR troubleshooting

A couple of years ago I built myself a custom bumper out of c-channel and treadplate, but this weekend I finally got around to welding up a bar for it. The center section is fire-sprinkler pipe salvaged out of the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville and the side sections are just some 1" scrap tubing I had laying around. Since the metal was free (to me, anyway) I still only have about $60 in this bumper. It's not the prettiest, but it'll serve its' purpose. Now I can sit back and enjoy the way it looks for a while

This weekend I tackled a project I have been thinking about for over a year. I was inspired by the cover king seat covers with MOLLE webbing, but didnt like the idea of sitting on 1000d cordura, not to mention the expense. I have had previous experience sewing custom MOLLE gear for "running and gunning", so I thought I would put it to use here. My design is pretty straight forward, with no modification to the existing seat back panel. The panel just slides into the MOLLE bag which has cutouts for the steel clips on the back, and a velcro closure which keeps everything tight and secure. Then the original screws attach the top with new screw cap covers in matching color. Im very happy with the functionality, modular flexibility, and look. I used Tan499 (army designation, its a lighter tan than coyote brown) which matches the oak interior quite well (even better in real life than pics) and there are lots of mfrs. out there making MOLLE pouches in that color. Ive got my BuckMaster, Leatherman, spare mags, flashlight, spare batts., first aid kit and some other goodies on threre with room to spare.

After the dorkle install I had enough time to install some OME 861 and 862. Looking to get some fox 2.0 and 2" spacers.

Love this. This is what I have been wanting.

Must be an easy place for a LC. Always looks like your on a golf course.
Rust will kill them quickly there. The salt air, or the "vog" where my brother lives on the Puna coast...

You can literally watch them rust away.
