damn, it's sad they are not protecting the prehistoric cave paintings. Odd for Germany.

My pet theory is that this is a sacrificial site, intended to distract the public from better, less accessible sites in the area.

Plus, there is so much archeology here, it's just not practical to protect everything.

Germany has nowhere near the amount of "official" sites as France, yet everything I can see points to as many, if not more stone age habitats.

Got the slider pieces from the laser cutter... 95-97 jig is set and once @LS1FJ40 gets here the 93-94 jig will be finalized and ready to go as well...

Here are a few teasers for you all... :grinpimp:

It's likely got something to do with your respective post counts, nothing more, lol.

Her "like" to "post count" ratio is over NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-

@half k cruiser That's the price you pay to live in a generic suburb and in KANSAS. 50 out of 50 for tourism. You could move to midtown. Lots more to see and do there.

Or do what this KCMO native did and GO WEST YOUNG MAN.

I don't live in Olathe, its about an hour commute for me to get parts from them !

purchased OME 2.5" medium kit. Short wait kit to ship and the seemingly easy process began. Had the front done within an 1 1/2hrs ,painlessly, with a few beer breaks in between. On to the rear, broke the shock mount bolt I had been warned about...time for pizza and more beers. Few hours later had it Drilled, Had perfect size bit to not completely ruin the old threads, chased treads, , new bolt, good as new. Anybody know who makes spring that are Gold in color?? Puzzled. Also puzzled by the two piece front spring design. Interesting. Replaced front u-joints which were friggin toast as you can see. Pull out carpet, fixed my front and rear DS brake problems. Build roof rack this weekend and Big Bend next.

@Aloha Jen spousal land cruiser jacking is very much a thing. My wife bought the old Puddle Destroyer. Never really thought anything of it till my car snapped a timing belt and began its life on blocks. Started driving her back and forth and saw a couple other people with lifts and such online. Found this site and was completely hooked. I've probably spent more time and money on the 80 then I have on the car. The wife is putting all further 80 mods on hold till I sell the car.....:(:crybaby:

Dang. @TFord250 that rig was seriously past due for some love...... And I don't believe that two piece spring was by "design" ;)

Drove down to meet a mud member and pick up a new pass window glass. Note: do not remove the factory tint from the glass

Power washed off the road salt and added some ties to hold the lids on my storage platform open so I can rifle through the contents with both hands now. It's the little details that count .... Or at least become more obvious when camping in less than desirable weather

Very past due. but really loving the upgrades.
Yea that was my attempt at humoring someone...Sense of humor dryer than the Texas sand.

@jfz80 Oops. Didn't mean to quote you "quoting" me. Don't worry , unless you're running for office of any sort, I won't hold you accountable.

Did a much needed oil change, t-case fluid change and top engine cleaner which believe it or not did a ton! Old gal smoked for miles but is a night and day difference in how smooth she's running. Lastly I got my last air filter the 80 will ever need. (No I'm not selling the 80)View attachment 1207759 View attachment 1207760I would definitely say it was needed. It was much heavier and you could hear the sand when shook. View attachment 1207761picture makes it look smaller bit it's exact same size all the way around.
What'd you use for the top engine cleaner?

I accidentally broke one of the gaskets I ordered from Beno so I ordered another one from the local dealer, $21 no biggie.
I get a call from them after a while saying my gasket was there but it was broken....so I had to wait for another one to be ordered.
I get a call today that my parts were in, good. I go there to pick them up and being wise I inspect the gasket, broken.

Fourth times the charm I guess.

Everyday's the weekend for me right now so we headed to the coast (Ocean Shores). It's raining so much I barely stepped out onto the beach.
The Boys were excited to have the deer come visit in the back yard of our patio:

What can I say, I like showing off my boys!

Cheers,
Salue

How will these attach? How soon until you have pics of them on a vehicle? I'm also curious to know how far they will stick out. I need either sliders that stick out further or wheel spacers.

They attach with 1/2" grade 8 yellow zinc u-bolts. They are angled upward and will stick out around 4" from the rocker. I have a guy coming to get a set middle of next week and should have pics posted then.

My slider sale link: Sliders

It has a my 60 sliders on there and will give you a good idea of look. The 80 slider will stick out another 3/4" than the 60 version.
