Anybody have part #s for motor mounts and trans mount?

Yeah, it's blocked at work and hard to see on my phone. Was hoping someone had it handy. I'll just check tonight when I have time. I stopped home real quick but didn't have time. Plus I got distracted...

Thanks Jason (@arcteryx) at CruiserYard. Rear hatch lift supports showed up. Along with the 93-97 battery tray for the beginning of my dual battery system...(other battery tray was snagged this weekend from the junkyard)

With all these snow covered posts this weekend, thought id try and warm up this thread.
Weather report issued high surf advisory...calling for 20-25ft+ waves for north shore, so we drove up to Waimae Bay to check out the action.

It was big, pictures don't do it justice....but for some scale, that tiny spec in the whitewater is a guy in the pic above. Stay warm!

amazing swell. jelly! did you see any of the Pe'Ahi Challenge?

Well, not the weekend but I thought I would chime in with what happened this morning.

I was heading down town with my two boxers in the back, going to get some coffee at the local shop. I was coming off a four lane highway onto another four lane. There is a circular offramp/onramp setup here.

As I came to the end of the circle and ready to merge onto the highway I noticed a car was in my lane, it was the headlights that I noticed first. So I hit the brakes thinking a car is coming head on towards me in my lane. Apparently it was black ice because I immediately slid sideways. So I then immediately let off the brakes. The old 80 waggled a bit back and forth then straightened right up.

I was surprised and relieved at how well the lifted girl did. None of us like sliding sideways in these lifted beasts. I have the OME heavies on with Doetsch Tech shocks. It didn't feel tippy or anything. Just as she was straightening out and snapping back and forth a few times it felt confident in getting back in control.

My boxers were thrown around the back a bit and popped up looking at me like WTH!

Apparently the car in front got spun completely around as it was not moving towards me but was sitting stopped facing towards me. Luckily I drive slow and was not going real fast through the on ramp. Also lucky that no one was in the fast lane as that was my means around the car stopped in my lane.

I had 2 or 3 people on my butt coming off the ramp. They all backed way off when I was going down the highway sideways...

Do I just replace the rubber pads? Or replace everything in the mount?

the 12361 is a solid piece with hard rubber inside, I don't think you want to split that. Just replace that piece, the other bits are metal and won't wear.

Used it to pull my 2 feed trucks out of the mud.

The ford was sitting on the frame the full length of the truck. Had to use a snatch block to get enough pulling power. It was fu because my 5 year old son ran the wince while I drove the pickup!

So two of those and one of the 12371 then? Correct?

yes, that should do it. you might want to get the hardware too if yours is rusty at all, cheap insurance since you're putting on new dampeners.

I went ahead and ordered new hardware anyway. I don't think mine is rusty but I like new hardware.

HOLY s*** those are not cheap. Even by Mr. T standards they are expensive!

I haven't priced them out. But think of it this way, your originals lasted almost 25 years, so you should get another 25 more out of this set. At least that's how I look at it.

Think of your 3FE, just think of your 3FE and how it will sit on new hardware :P

Yeah, I know. I know. I guess I should be happy that they still make them...

Yeah, she will love it. She can just sit and spin all day!

Drove four hours to Colonial Williamsburg with my bride for the Grand Illumination only to break down at hour three in the middle of nowhere. Linemans pliers and my grandfathers Barlow knife to the rescue. The distributor cap wire burnt in half. Strip, crimp, start back up, and away we go.
