So, I was thinking of mounting a 2" receiver to my rear cross member so I can mount a basket in order to carry my Toro snowblower. The snowblower weighs 87 lbs. I'm thinking the cross member can handle the basket and snowblower combined weight +/- 130 lbs. Anyone have any objections to this? I'm thinking the Slee hitch unless someone knows of a similar one that is comparably strong. I WILL NOT BE TOWING WITH IT!

I know it's not a question about cupholders or seat warmers but anyone...? :flipoff2:

@NLXTACY certainly you've completely overthought this even though you don't have a stock bumper...

You're worried about a 130# basket hanging off a receiver? You know people tow trailers and boats and other vehicles right? :flipoff2:

Yeah, I know. But that is CRAY!!!

No mods required to fit the 9006 connector?

That should be your standard US spec...

Otherwise your running JDM's like HB4 or something

From everything I've heard Slab City is quite amazing. Next time I'm out that way it's definitely on the list.

Amazing is an understatement. On my trip to Slab City I meet local entrepreneur/musician Airracket. Loved the LC and immediately had to demo his solar pipe complete with locally grown fresh flower.;) Shouting out as I was leaving "Remember you saw it first here" Wish I could of stay around for the concert.

Do you also have a write up on modifying the 9011 to fit in the place of the 9006?

IIRC the mod is very similar to the 9012 just a little more trimming. Not much of a mountain for a climber;)

Literally takes 3 min to mod the two bulbs. Look at the old bulb tabs and file the new ones to "match". Best mod I've done in a long time. I can actually see now!
