Agreed! Was a great feeling when I did mine. My rig is an Aussie import with the chrome trim moldings, which I wanted to keep. Couldn't find them in the US, but Partsouq had them. Even with shipping, less than half what a US dealer wanted for all four windows. (My rear sliders were fine).
Might be the most satisfying thing I've done to my truck, all fresh window belt molding and it's been a long long long overdue refresh.

Started the weekend off early. Buddy of mine just got a new pistol so we ditched work to go shoot. Unfortunately, the spot we wanted to go to was closed. Luckily we found another spot. All in all it turned out to be a great day.

Opening partsouq christmas presents and got an odd lower oil pan. Assuming this is a factory screw up? Its like the paint didnt get swirled around in that corner

That's where a water pool was left when they were hung on the rack for powder coating. The PC stuck to the liquid then the liquid flashed off in the heating process.

ahh, makes perfect sense. Thanks

Btw, PS replied in under 10hrs with suggested solutions/options and an apology. I continue to be impressed by this business.

I've had mine for just shy of 30 years. I never knew it was a V6.......

Did a Delta Vehicle Systems shifter console and center console upgrade on the LS3-80. With the center console came the leather cover option. It comes in raw leather which we figured would be fine but it was enough of a difference from the oak leather that we decided to try and match it.

Now I know very little about working with leather so I contacted someone that knew a whole lot more than I did. He being the local guy who does interiors for hot rods and private planes. The guy’s work is unbelievable.

I called him and asked for a suggestion of where to buy leather dye (since my initial searches came up empty). His response was “why?”

He said that dyeing leather is something that is generally done in large batches when you want to maintain the visual grain structure. He said that for something tiny like a center console cover he just uses SEM paint. A paint!? A paint.

Off to the local professional auto body paint supply where, as it turns out, they carry every single variation of SEM colors that are offered. It was a gold mine.

Started with the “vinyl” prep and finished it off with SEM 15893 Med. Prairie Tan. It was a near perfect match.

First console image is painted leather. The second is raw and the third is painted. In the images I noticed that the camera doesn’t pic up the color variance the way the human eye does. I think it’s likely because the newly painted piece is more photon reflective and looks “brighter”. It’s not. So I tweaked the color in the photo to give a better idea of the color match to real life.

Tow rig duty today with the '97. My youngest son @cruiserinsanity has been working at the local Oreilly part store this year and this is the second local Land Cruiser that has come to his attention and that we've bought. He typically drives a FJ60 to the store, customers see it and come in to talk. 1983 FJ60.

Hey, this is on my list...

Do you have P/N's easily handy? If I'm planning a respray should I just wait if it might be a year or so?

So I used to be a VW/Audi guy for a long time, I have to say, the helpfulness and knowledge of people on this forum is bar none compared to others (if they're even still going much at all)
