I think I found the problem. Unfortunately it’s going to be sometime before I can pull the axle to see what else I’m in store for.

Replaced old master brake cylinder with an 80 series one. Now the servo and master are both from the 80 bolt on no hassle.

In the process, the rear right wheel was leaking brake oil. Took it apart replaced the inner seal (was worn) and put it all back together.

2 week, 3800 mile round trip from AL to AZ and back. AL-MS-LA-TX-NM-AZ and flip the states around. 2F has over 300k on it and I changed oil before leaving. The level is only down about a quart and still looks good. Interstate and TX back roads could run 70, hit the hills and 70 ain't happening. 2500 on the tach was the sweet spot.

Fuel mileage was low, ca. 11-12.

Ha! That’s the same mileage I get in my 2011 5.7L Tundra around town.

That is the perfect amount of mad max. Please never paint it

FJ60 Winch plates and frame brackets are ready.

Got my Dobinson MMR dampers installed on the front. Thanks @TRAIL TAILOR for providing these. I was able to run the remote reservoirs up inside the engine compartment which makes it super easy to adjust them and keeps them out of the wheel wells. Got plenty of clearance around them too with my 255/85 Yokohamas. Drivers side was a bit of a challenge as I had to move the steering box to slide the reservoir through but the passenger side was a breeze.

Love my IMS shocks. I bet the remote resi version does even better on washboard roads.

Tested, then calibrated my mechanical temp gauge.
I was wondering why the termostat was opening already at 78°C (172.5°F).... suspected it to be foulty and replaced it.
Turned out that it was perfectly fine and my until recently spot on auxillary temp gauge was reading low by about 10°. Luckely it has a little nice calibrating option at the back side. Whether it has itself de-calibrated or is on it's way out - time will tell.

Yes, can’t wait to put them to good use. It’s all part of my prep for SAS next year. If the timing works out, I’ll do SAS, the drop my truck off with Dr. Kelly Saad for the makeover, woohoo! Rust never sleeps on these trucks so want to be ahead of it.

So new denso master rear brakes and new drums. This should hopefully conclud the brake upgrades fiasco ....

Swapped yet another KM speed gauge (3rd time's the charm!!) Hope it works better this time.

Still can't get the 1HDT to speak with the RPM gauge, honestly it's worse than my marriage.....

Tried to fit a non original fuel tank key and botched it up, went to a guy made it worse by making a big hole in the fuel tank lid cover. I mean come on🤨🤨

I was thinking the same thing, I guess my truck is faster then due to less weight😀
Don't think there is anything in this world that would make the 60 faster, that being said haven't tried voodoo magic yet.

Never seen em before tbh, but that would save a lot on heat insulation

Removed my rear bumper in preparation for installing my @TRAIL TAILOR rear bumper. Removing the original bolts was an exercise in stamina, both mental and physical. What a job…. After a combination of heat, sweat, panther piss ( PB Blaster) and a repeat of the above multiple times those god awful bolts are out.
