Speaking of the ribs, how did you go about fixing those to the hood skin? I have pieces of the glue fall out all the time.
I had the same issue long while ago... After using a few different products
I gave up and used what i had at hand..
RTV gasket maker in Gray...
It has hold the ribs under the hood in place to this day and going strong....!!

now i can enjoy the Specially Tires with lighter wheels. Split wheels were too heavy with such a setup.

But i think the 1fz-fe is coming anyway 🙈

The advantage of having tailgate storage would make for easy insulation. Adding new weather stripping too would be great.
In my rear quarters, I only used the Kilmatt to the areas above the rust prone areas. Then I added 10 mil mylar backed closed cell foam on top of the Kilmatt to further insulate and pad it for loose trail gear stuffed in there.

One of the first things I did when I got mine was new body/panel weather strips on all the doors and the trunk. It took care of some wind noise between the gaps and there's a satisfying thud when you close the doors.

+1 to the rear quarter panels. I also did the portion of the wheel well that's inside that compartment. I took a DB rating with my phone before any of this work and I'll do an after whenever I get around to finishing it.

How do you like the bumpstops? Worth the $$$? I'm going to completely revamp my suspension, I considered converting to coil but it's not in the cards right now. So my plan is to get the most out of leaf springs and I've been contemplating hydro bumps.
The bumps are great! I have them on the front and back. You will get the sound when they contact the pads so if that annoys you I would not do them. When fully loaded I’m 1/2 away so they touch a lot on rough roads but I love them

100% custom. Frame was notched and plated where cans mount. Rear are 2” and front are 2” and longer throw

Started the full detail (again), put some 194 led’s in the dash and adjusted the valves. It’s running great. The 3FE/H55F so great to drive.

Those are great looking tire. What brand/model and size are they?
They are Specialty Tires of America tires

However, I think the patch I got has an issue so make sure you get the latest version. The track starts cracking and losing rubber :(.

I’m sure they do, they are very helpful and pickup the phone when you call.

Not sure their buckle would work with factory belts.
It doesn't. I tried.

On the Red 60:
Checked front differential fluid, topped it off- looks like a FA rebuild is due, no birf soup yet but it’s been a while since I did it.
Rear differential was drained and refilled, bit of water contamination in the gear oil. :bang:

I tore her face off. Almost completely.

Gotta tackle some rust issues before the engine goes back in there. It’ll probably never be easier to clean up the frame and firewall.

I have a replacement driver’s fender because the original one has a massive rust hole where leaves ate it from the inside out.

Also, dealing with the classic rusty cowl and seams. I figured I should just go ahead and do it all and be done with it before the fall.
