Got new AC compressor installed, pulled vacuum and it held overnight. Recharged this morning and blowing nice and cold 🄶. Had to adjust AC idle up a bit but works awesome. This temp is at idle in sun 80 degrees.šŸ‘

Beauty!!

@TheEngineer videos as requested. Ive not installed my in tank fuel pump yet so the external pump is pretty loud, and theres someone using a backpack blower in the background. Its hard to get the sound on a cell phone, but it sounds way better on my iphone speakers compared to my laptop hahaha

Thought this was pretty cool, its of the cutout opening and closing. Out of the entire exhaust the only tappy leak ive got is from this thing. Its very very quiet and goes away once the whole exhaust warms up though

This is great man. The older I get, the more important having a "quiet mode" has become and both versions sound good. I could've sworn I read in one of your posts that you were working with Ti.

Are you going to have to bump it up to a 3" if you make any power upgrades?

Simply buy a Ti vband and a SS vband. Split them in/out of the muffler/reso and all good.

Man. How did i not think about that! Exhaust fabrication is like probably one of my favorite wrenching/welding things to do, so now that I know that.... Exhaust 3.0 will probably have to happen down the road sometime now hah!

Same here man, I like it really quiet pretty much all the time but its nice to have it rumbly and fun sometimes too! Now that I have the knowledge of mismatching vbands Ill definitely redo this with Ti down the road. I cant decide what kind of power stuff to do in the future, ive got TONS of time to think about it. The original plan was to run a single turbo, thats why I didnt really mod the 5.3... but simpler and more reliable is to just swap in a 6.0 with a cam and some heads. I think if I go turbo ill need to go bigger exhaust for sure, but if I go 6.0 2.5 wont be too bad to keep!

Been watching the Austrailians through Ford Barra (Fords 2jz) engines in their Nissan Patrols. Big single turbo pushing 800hp+ on some builds. Looks like a great time, more power is always tempting.

Yo, thx! I’m running a Dobinson’s suspension with extended ā€œextremeā€ shackles front and rear

At the ACC Family Reunion in Choccolocco several weeks ago @Godwin got some wood stuck in the bead of one of his Geolandars. This did not become a problem for several weeks until it started losing air from that location. I took the tire to work today and pulled out the piece of wood thinking that would fix the leak. Wrong. There was a buildup of dirt on the bead. I knocked it off the bead and cleaned the rim of the wheel, then ran bead sealer all the way around. No leaks now.
