At the ACC Family Reunion in Choccolocco several weeks ago @Godwin got some wood stuck in the bead of one of his Geolandars. This did not become a problem for several weeks until it started losing air from that location. I took the tire to work today and pulled out the piece of wood thinking that would fix the leak. Wrong. There was a buildup of dirt on the bead. I knocked it off the bead and cleaned the rim of the wheel, then ran bead sealer all the way around. No leaks now. If you are going to own a 60 it should be driven as Mr. Toyoda intended.

Pulled this heifer home after @NC LX finished the chevy 63's in the rear. This truck drives awesome. I'll be making some changes over the next few weeks.

Thanks for the opportunity. You got a fantastic well built 60. Looking forward to getting together making Memories in the future.

My solution for 3 kids in booster seats. Suburban 3rd row seats. 3 3 point seat belts in a 60. I have an 80 rear axle so the width gave me room to cut into the wheel wells, and remove some floor. Body mount bolts tie it into the frame.

literally had to cut my swing outs off my 4plus bumper. they were so seized. i’ve taken them off yearly and cleaned and greased them and every year they get worse. i’m so tired of not being able to get inside my trunk!! i bought 4x4labs spindles so i’ll have bearing instead of bushings. hopefully that’ll help. i’ll pull the bumper off this week and get to work. i’ll get pics as i go along. i plan on galvanizing it all too before painting and reassembling. try to keep the rust at bay!!

First tme I've heard of such an issue. Looking forward to remedy results after a good trial period but we can expect improved swing out mobility with the bearings.

I mistakenly thought lithium grease would be suitable for the Trail Tailor bearing swing-outs. I had to replace bearings on one side and added grease zerks and actual bearing grease to remedy. Problem solved.

yeah i’ve been tried all sorts of things. the brass bearings were supposed to be lubricated with just machine oil but it just wouldn’t last. i put in grease zerks and would try greasing them with no real success. so every year i’d take them off and sand out the corrosion and grease them up. they’d work for a month or two before starting to get stiff. this past winter they froze right up on me to the point i had to cut them off. i don’t even live in an area where a lot of salt it used but none the less i’m tired of them not working so i’ll try something different. 🤞

Did you tie the master fluid sensor wires directly to the existing two wires? I just installed one also.
the 80 series that we pulled the plug from had the same wire colors as the 60 harness but yeah. I havent honestly checked it yet though

If you like it now, you’ll like it even more if it’s about 4” lower.

Yeah, the 63's dropped it an inch in the rear. I'd like to go down more in the front. 37's going on at the end of the week
