Installed OME suspension and lift on my otherwise-stock 84 FJ60. Also threw on a steering damper while I was under there. It was kind of a fun job, I’ve never taken on anything like it before (I’m a brand new cruiser owner). What an improvement in the ride and handling!

I've been working in the Kisatchie National Forest in Louisiana these past few days. Even with the storm that blew through last Wednesday the roads are dry and becoming dusty, but I managed to fit a bit of mud along one of the roads. This has tricked me up more than once where the mud doesn't look bad and I pull off the road so that I won't block it. One side high and dry, other side low and mucky. 4WD and rear locker only pulled me in deeper, Warn 12 k got me out.

Burned gas. A LOT of it.

Drove from Spokane to Wenatchee, WA to spend the weekend with friends. Headwinds were so bad I got less than HALF my usual fuel economy. With the H55F I could top off as I left Spokane and get to Wenatchee with half or a little more than half a tank of gas remaining. This time I coasted in on fumes. Pedal was on the floor just trying to keep up at least close to the speed limit for nearly the entire drive. I wouldn't have made it without having to put one of my Jerry cans in before getting there if I still had the A440F. Worst headwinds I've ever driven in in the close to 30 years I've had my 62.

Finally got to do a little rust prevention or should I say rust conversion to the top of my FJ60.
I hope I got it on time.
