Never done this job. Pretty satisfying 😎

I’m literally in my way up there. Stopping in Bozeman for a final destination. Jeeeeze I miss the snow so much!! I have all this wool and nothing but humidity!

Quick question, is it safely possible to tow a 60 with a 2000 yr 100 series? Or is that a bit too much?
I don't know the specs of the 100 but my 2011 4runner pulled a 60 about 500 miles. To be fair, it was all pretty flat but pulled it just fine.

My Japan sampler platter came in today from Sumitomo…

Simply Stunning !

Worked all day with @raymond2335. Big thanks to him for showing me the way on knuckle rebuild. Replaced the rotors while we were in there too. Talk about a greasy mess. We ran out of time for some other odds and ends that I’ve been wanting to get to, but we got a big daunting task out of the way. One step closer to having the 60 baselined.

Tomorrow I hope to get my worn out and sagging driver door hinges swapped out from my donor truck. Can’t wait to not have to lift the door to get it to latch.

But the big accomplishment of the day was replacing the burnt out bulb behind the heater/AC bezel. Sometimes it’s the little things… 😂
Update: door closes so easily and smooth. Sooo satisfying!

Replaced rear dome light. The original literally crumbled into dust when I touched it it was so brittle. The one from the donor truck was in great shape so I swapped them out. Shout out to the donor truck.

I replaced my choke cable since the old was so stretched, it wouldn’t close the butterfly all the way. Cold starts put me on pins and needles. Now we are good.

I have only owned my 60 for a month so I’m still getting to know it, but I finally took some time to drive it a couple hundred miles today. It seemed to get better and better as the day progressed. Maybe I just had to get some cobwebs dusted out of it??

Next is replacing the rear bumper and rusty/dented tailgate. Looks like it had been rear-ended at some point.

About a year ago one of the factory horns died. I tried several after market horns but I never like the sound, or lack thereof. I read several threads about various horns and how to wire them using a relay. I wanted to use the steering wheel horn buttons.
I went to the local salvage yard found a couple from a full size truck. I installed one of them and it's loud. I'll install the other one in a few days if all goes well.
I can't reference the exact post on how to use a relay and wire it to use as a negative switch.

Replaced my tired and broken switch bezel with one from CruiserHead.com:

Looks like the real deal. I am not sure how you could make this more OEM. Great product. Thanks @ChaserFJ60!!! No more cracks.
