@cruiserinsanity was telling me that the 3FE has been difficult to start lately and the condition has been worsening. We were using the 60 to winch stuff off a trailer today and after shutting off the engine restarting it took much more time than normal. We talked about the symptoms and that this was a fuel related issue. I knew that I had a spare fuel pressure regulator in the parts pile, well not just one but twoNOS that were both purchased in 2013. We swapped out the old one and that cured the issue.

Just as cheap tech for everyone else, there are options from 90’s 1.6 celicas that can get you a FPR for about $70 from a local parts house. I did this on my 62.
I might have a pair of these… I’ll check..
Parts box is in the storage unit. I have to run up there today for wood clamps anyhow, I’ll grab them for you. 99.99% I kept them. They came off my ‘84 parts truck way back when I first got sick with land cruiser derangement.

"The Adventure Wagon" rear Full Float is getting some Locker Love.
Finally got the new wheels. Ditched the steel and went aluminum. They weigh in at about 19lbs each. They are the five stars offered by FN Wheels. Nice quality and are hub centric with the right offset for my application. They specialize in Toyota.
Appreciate the thought + effort...ill most likely jus reuse mine if I cant find new.

Could be. I haven’t pulled those rear heater hoses even tho they really do need to get replaced.
I wouldn’t use any of that bars stuff either. My machine shop (old guy) uses it but I just didn’t feel right after all of you speaking so badly about it AND the reviews online were all bad. Guess it’s just an old man fix that won’t be broken.

Drove the 60 45mins one way for some ink therapy… I’ve got this crazy notion that I want to try to go to SAS out in Ouray CO this Aug so figure I really need to be driving the truck as FT as able to work out any major squeaks. After I grabbed $20 worth of cinder blocks from Home Depot today, plus my usual two 50# bags of salt (home water conditioning system). Need to make a raised base for a bee equipment shed I’ll be making from a shipping crate I managed to grab for $50 a few days ago.
They’re broken anyway.

Haven’t posted anything lately on 60 series.
But installed the drivers side B pillar seat belt cover that’s been hovering around the garage.
Also had two new “LandCruiser” quarter emblems that I removed from “Dusty” and installed them on to Biege 60.
Adjusted my rear brakes and checked to make sure my bell cranks where not bent or stuck!
Rear brakes and E brake work much better.

Installed BOSS airbags from SloCruisers. If any of you carry added weight on a daily basis, I highly recommend this setup. Although not for everyone or every application, but for what I do in my rig, this was one of the better mods I have done. Super, super easy install, parts are superior quality and all parts were accounted for (with extras) and packaged and labeled great. Instructions are a bit lacking, but once you unbox and lay everything out, the install couldn’t be easier (a bit easier if you had a lift I guess), but very doable on a creeper. The ride is so much better, mine is an ‘84 without the rear sway bar. I was actually going to fab up the brackets and such to install a rear sway bar, but now with the air bags the body roll is very minimal as is the road walking boat feeling. I was also thinking about an add a leaf in the rear (went OME light/medium, should have gone with the HEAVY kit) but now with the air bags I can dial in the rear lift as needed. I’m pretty heavy with a rear swing out, fuel can, water can and then probably another 150# of gear in the rear, roof rack, awning, etc. and probably more to come. I’m running ~25 psi. I love the ability to adjust based on weight/no weight. Highly recommended! First 2 pictures are before, the rest are after.

Here is a better “after” shot on level ground, also wrapped the exhaust and the air line in heat shield exhaust wrap. I’ll change out the cheap hose clamps for a stainless set, but just wanted to get it on for now

Baselining a really nice 60 for a my boys mother. The PO cut out the headliner so out comes the windshield. Was surprised to note it’s an original Toyota glass. So the factory glue was intense. Hardest windshield I’ve ever pulled. Good news is there’s zero rust in the channel. I never glue these, but seeing the results of a water tight gasket it makes sense. Was cool to find the 22 shell casings at the base of the glass. I’ll be putting in a new headliner shortly along with a ton of other stuff.
