Wasn't this weekend, but this is the first chance I've had to post:

The rig got a Rodney Flush, new Amsoil ATF, oil change and we took her down to Anza Borrego to stretch her wheels a bit. She's was parked for a while and no wheeling for several years. Anza was a great place to shake the rust loose!

My friend, This is what I want. I will get there but for now I must watch

Forgot to take pics, but I went over to @CaptClose 's last night and watched him and his son finish up the install of a brand new PS pump. I'm sure he'll be posting a picture soon. After that, we pulled my truck in and I installed a new driver side motor mount. Had a couple of complications, but finally got it in. While I was doing that, Ryan pulled and cleaned my driver side hub - it fully locks now! We also moved one vacuum line and adjusted the @Trollhole carb a bit to idle around 750. I'm still having issues with the TH carb, however... hopefully will get that figured out soon.

I had fun Nick. Thanks for coming by. I still don't understand why every 30 minute job ends up taking half the day or night :bang:

Kinda like the power steering pump. It looked like such a simple job. I wish I would have searched here before I started into the swap. I would have realized hours sooner that the entire bracket needs to come out. I also would have saved some skinned up knuckles!

I stripped that rear bolt trying to get it off. Why is it that every specialty tool designed to remove rounded and stripped fasteners, NEVER works. I had to remove that bolt the old fashioned way...

Nothing seems to work better on stripped bolts than a good old cutoff wheel. :hillbilly:

After all that was done, the finish result was pretty good.

More of a mid-week weekend, but was able to get my 60 out for a sunset drive before the rainstorms came.

Every time I went out to cut more more lumber for the home improvement project, I just looked at the FJ60, sitting there neglected and sighed.

Please tell me you had a fly rod with you and dropped a line!!! That first pic looks like it would be a great place to find some native brown!! @KWalkerM

Funny you say that, I get out fly fishing regularly chasing browns. Yes we had a couple fly rods in hand, but we were after the white bass spawn out of the lake, the water temps were still a bit too cool for the fish to move up river yet though. Too warm and low elevation here in AZ for browns there.

No, I'm running antique plates on it. I eyeballed this plate design while registering the 60 last year. Glad to support the state parks and since this Cruiser is my DD and get away family vehicle the tent / campfire is perfect. Tried 8460 but it was taken. FJ60 it is...

Had my kids (5 y/o daughter and 2 y/o son) "help" me change out my fuel level sender last weekend. Had a good time of it.

Finally finished the room remodel. To celebrate we took the neglected FJ60 for a spin. Destination was West McCoy Gulch and South Fern Leaf Gulch. West McCoy is CR 37 of US 50 just below Cotopaxi. CR 37 connects US 50 to CR 1A above Cotopaxi. CR 37 runs in the bed of a dry gulch, is mostly sand and has a few short side trails. These photos are from one of the side trails where there are some interesting granite formations and a good view of the Sangre de Cristos and Wet Mtn Valley.

Up closer to CR 1A you can see Pikes Peak, the Sanges and the lower end of the Sawatch range.
