How hard was the pushrod side cover? Definitely have a leak coming from there and my valve cover but scared to go after those two right now. Don't want my DD to be down for more than a weekend.

Well,
Really not that difficult.
Just cumbersome. I already had the a/c pump off. So that helped. removed the dizzy and a few lines and other stuff around it.
I soaked all the screws with the Zep de greaser concentrate stuff and remove all the grime with ease. The old cork gasket needed some elbow grease to remove but doable!

I don't think you need to remove dizzy but you may have to move it and re time it. So you can make room slip side panel off!
I removed it so I can clean the dizzy body and the number plate. I am getting meticulous on removing as much grime as possible.
It's that years of Nevada dust.
I would say about 4 hours to get everything back to normal and running for you !

Finally got around to putting the new springs on the rear. Netted me about 2" of lift over previous as well as much softer ride, almost bouncy.
Also put in the new 60 oh $&@! bar in front. This coming week will hopefully be replacing the front springs finally and possibly new TREs.

Pics to come.
What springs did you go with?

Wet sanding. A must when your a novice painter like me. I sprayed the door jams and rear quarters last weekend and unfortunately the clear did not lay as smooth as what I sprayed before. I believe I'm going to invest in a better gun before I hit the hood, doors and fenders. View attachment 1158886
The 3rd pic is before sanding/buffing. Quarters were full of orange peel.

Looks great!

Is that a stock color or...? I like it. Thinking of trying to paint my rig in the not too distant future.
