Not my house...borrowed a friends small TLB and installed a nice drainage pipe on a trail I help maintain

Worked a bit on cleaning up the rust on my split rims. Paint to follow in a day or two.

seeing how I am pretty much done(again), got some new tires.

replaced the 12 year(but plenty meat left) old BFG MT's with a another new set of 33x10.5x15 KO2's, miss the MT look but the AT's sure drive nice. Really wanted a 255/85/16 on the 70 series 16x6's....but not many AT's in that size and Discount wont do them on the 6" wide's.......so I just gave up and kept the same wheels I have had. But will get a local shop to put the old 33's on some 40 hub cap wheels, move them to the 45LPB...

this week.
new 4runner arm's, blades, inserts. Damn nice! (replaced new OEM 60 arms etc) Did one side a few weeks ago, worried they may look goofy, nope, look right and work WAY better than I imagined.
new elbow hose for the charcole canister
box of all new OEM WS, window stuff both front's and most(maybe all) the rear. Don't need em yet, stash. and about 1K of other stuff that wont be around for the stash
New clam-shell, waiting for new OEM screws

and its been a few weekends.......

Last weekend, figured out my young mechanic had 2 hoses on the carb backwards after replacing manifold gasket a few months ago. Had a dip in the RPM's at idle, problem solved. Replaced a few hoses I missed 10-15 years ago.

New OEM window regulator driver side, wow....like new(have pass side but not needed yet)
Upgraded to Rob's LED.....nice.

Last month....
discovered EGR was fubar or one of the VSV, bypassed it, mileage went from 7mph----12+ . If I looked back, I would say its been like that for more than a few years, I have not really used it much in the last 6 years

New OEM belts
both the VSV's replaced with latter model ones
hood prop gromet, hood bumpers.

2 months ago had the hood repainted, driver side front had faded, original owner had a battery blow up in early 90's, so it was repainted then, and faded. Had a small rust spot on rear cargo window repaired, one rust spot on rocker, maybe 1" repaired, nothing major. Looks pretty good for most the paint being 30 years old, still shines nice

Changed to Mobil1 at 113,000

3 months ago, replaced exhaust manifold gaskets, machined them, etc. Had a leak for a few years.

she runs and drives like new.....and the way it ran when I went thru back in 2000-03, when I went thru it head to toe, every seal, bearing, hose, suspension, steering, clutch etc etc.

only thing really left.......H55F

Continued to troubleshoot my weak (and unable to UNlock rear driver's side door) power door locks with no luck. I'm starting to think more and more that the rear driver's side solenoid is just going out. It locks perfectly but refuses to unlock unless the engine is running.

Last weekend I replaced my 1" bore 4Runner master cylinder with a 1 1/16" bore T100 clynder and my brakes feel great. I think with a bigger booster they would feel perfect for the setup I'm currently running. Might be able to go back to a 1" bore MC once I eventually put an FZJ80 rear end on.

Doing the nasty part of a complete repaint. Want some feedback before I proceed. My plan was to black out the underside with chassis paint. Part of me likes the original look (body color with tan texture sprayed over). I know a lot of folks do monster liner, but I really don't want to put a texture across the whole surface. I feel it will accelerate the buildup of grease etc...whereas the smoother surface will be easier to maintain down the road. Appreciate your feedback.

If I had my body like that, I'd paint it smooth. Then I'd add more protection up along the out rockers where mud and road
crap builds up from the front tires.
I do plan to paint the bottom inside of my rockers for exactly that reason. My plan is primer, paint, then undercoating.
Your rig looks really good, very cool!! J

I'm going to look into a spray type undercoating. Maybe body color if not too expensive. With such a clean body, I hate to cover it up, but fortunately I have the pictures incase anyone down the road needs reassurance of its actual condition. Thanks for the feedback.
