It’s the minimax bumper. I may have gotten the last one from Steve Foltz.....here’s a pic uninstalled View attachment 2011770
I really like it, and he wants to keep making them, it’s just hard to do without the truck there I guess. I went to his house to have it put on. I’ve had two other people ask about it too, I think if Steve gets the right amount of genuine interest he’ll keep making them.
Do you have moar photos or a build thread with it? Its intriguing.
Where is Mr. Foltz?
Thx

He is in Colorado, front range I think. Search Mountain Passes Off-Road on Facebook; he doesn’t have a website. Phone number is 719-696-2022. He makes a rear cargo platform system too that is pretty cool.

Road trip in the Great Smokey Mtns. Weather rolled in so difficult to get decent pics.
No Rocky Mtn high but the highest east of the Mississippi.

Ordered a new gas cap after the trio of lights came on during our road trip. I keep eyeing some lights for our Eastern Bound roadtrip, :hmm:

With my GX down for the count while I wait on a new cooling fan clutch and assembly to arrive, I got rid of the auxiliary 12v plug and installed a dual USB port and battery charge indicator in it's place. Still need to button it all up but it was time for me to call it a night.

Tuned the exhaust and eliminated the drone with science! Doing a lot of prep for Colorado by the 8th

I was in nashville last weekend (south of there) and then headed back to ATL.

Took it to the range to work up a new 45-70 load.

So I did a thing. Was way easier than the dobinson I put on my tacoma. Lenzdesign’s template was way better and more accurate than dobinsons

Spent the last week traveling around in the south. 8 states, and over 2000 miles. The GX did well and averaged 15-16 MPGs loaded down with gear and 5 passengers. Lots of hills in WVA, VA, NC, TN, and PA so I can’t complain.

I cleaned out the interior. I was disappointed to see that Lexus decided to stop the sound deadening at the front seats...so I payed down my own.
I also power washed 14 years and 180,000 miles of filth off everything that came out.
I still gotta line the doors.
Can’t wait to see how the stove, refrigerator, kitchen table, fold down bed and toilet are going to fit in there. Oh can’t forget about the book shelves. You better not post back with a picture of lightweight camping gear.

It’s my DD and I don’t really enjoy overlanding so I just have a simple drawer system for tools.

For us, camping usually involves minimalist backpacking/bikepacking or some of this:

That's interesting about the sound deadening. I'd read the GX got 44# more sound dedening over the 4th gen 4R....🧐
So then it's all engine bay, firewall, and 1st row??
