That steering wheel is really nice!

I took the boys for a ride through the mountains, got a lot of looks from hunters on their utv’s where their pickups wouldn’t go. Then, we took it home and replaced the yellow, oxidized headlights with aftermarket depos.View attachment 1819024
Awesome. Took my kids to the same spot too weeks ago. Did you come up from the gun club? I want to do the route from the gun club the Daniels Summit one day.

Got the Fluid Film on before the weather sets in. Two rust belt winters and the rig is still looking like new.

Nice! I love those wheels. Instantly makes the interior look 10 years newer. Every time I see one I kick myself for not buying a black interior! I can’t find anything for the ‘08 tan (brownish grey) other than a refurb or mismatching cream color from a 100 Series :frown: *cue sad Charlie Brown music*

I can have a look over here for you and see if anything comes up.

Found this one:

Here is what came up to a quick search on Amazon Japan.

DIY, I have the entire spray gun setup and buy it in gallon jugs. Pretty easy to do in the driveway really. This year my only issue was time and that Michigan conrete mud that refuses to come off. I use the “pro” gun and a couple different flexible spray wands from this company:

We went up from the gun club and kept going to the highest point we could find on the road then kept on it and followed it down to Wallsburg. I would assume that was Daniels summit we went over at around 8200’.

Yo Arailt, I think I found the solution for us beige/tan interior guys. Toyota Part #4510060490 is the 100 series steering wheel in beige with no wood grain. I purchased one last week on a limb hoping it would be a good match and I was actually pretty surprised how well it matches my original wheel. I have yet to install but it seems like a pretty straight forward swap, looks like you will can reuse the original plastic top piece since its a tad lighter than the new one.

Overall, the 100 series wheel is a tad thicker and is a much better option than anything Ive seen on the market for the tan/beige interior, a little pricey at $260 but well worth it IMO, usually retails for 6-700 I believe. Here is a link of where I got it, think there is few more in stock and delivery was super quick;

And here it is compared to the original, not much difference, doubt anyone will notice;

Thanks - I should probably do that...I'm guessing it'd pay for itself in two years or so vs paying a shop to do it.

I never thought I'd have steering wheel envy but.....there it is. Looks great!

What rearview mirror is that???

Thanks. Loving the new steering wheel. Great few.

Mirror is a wide view clip on to the main. They sell them at the auto stores here in Japan.

Quite insignificant mod to just about everyone here but, I installed a highway ETC unit today. It’s kind of like the US Ipass and Epass system where tolls come out of your account. But this one takes an actual ETC card/credit card and has an antenna. Installed in the factory CD changer location. Out of sight.

I've pulled these out of a couple vehicles I've imported from Japan.

After reading the Sept post from @DRANGED I realized I should check on the status of my splash guards before Winter arrives in full force. Sure enough, they were basically missing. So some Rad Rubber went in this morning. It was 35 and raining here, so I pulled the GX into the garage... which of course is the underground parking garage of the law firm where I work, since I don't have a garage. Got a couple weird looks. They look great and are way beefier than the stock flimsy, degraded plastic. I only documented the replacement on the passenger side.

I didn't know you could drop down into wallsburg, I'll have to try it next time. Daniels Summit would have dumped you out near the Daniels Summit lodge on highway 40.
