Nah, just the angle. They’re not even on.
In other news, I washed, polished, and waxed the old gal today. Looking pretty good for 170k.

Comm's gute!
Did a couple of trails on Saturday. Was hoping they would be pretty mild but that was not the case!
We started off at Corral Canyon OHV Area and figured I would check out one of the easier trails their known as Espinoza Trail. We made it about 1/3 of the way on this big looping trail before we had to turn around and head back out the way we came. Before turning back my buddy did the little rock garden down and back and you can see him going back up it needing to use lockers in this video.
After that my buddy's two co-workers bailed for the day but not after a sidewall flat and tire change. So my buddy and I continued on to Jacumba where we were going to check out Stage coach trail. Once we found the right forks we were headed down a shelf road down to the Highway which was supposed to lead out at the Hwy or you could continue the loop. If it had still let out to the highway I would have made it with very little trail damage and just some bumps and bruises underneath. But it is blocked off and we had to either go back out the way we came or continue the loop. We opted for the latter and that's when my truck took the two hits one to the steps and one to the rear fender. Just too narrow of a trail without a lift. My buddy's 80 made it through with our a scratch but his lift really helped out. This trail was a bit over the capabilities of a stock GX but thankfully we did not encounter something too big because there was no backing up or turning around once you descend the shelf road. I was very impressed with my Yokahama Geolanders as well as the 4x4 system on the GX. Really loved how it conquered the rock climbs and only got into a weird bucking bronco brake thing once. Found that just constant gas pedal and let the system do it's job worked very well.
Finally got shoots from Stage Coach Trail from my buddy's passenger. Unfortunately no good rock shots

A view of the I8 grade between Ocotillo and Jacumba just North of the Mexico border.

Passenger steps are done but should be able to save the tops of them for the new OPOR Sliders coming in from Metal Tech. Out of stock currently so I have to wait 3 weeks and drive around like this.

Almost squeezed by a protruding rock but no luck.

Trimmed the rear mudflaps otherwise they probably would have been ripped off.

Driver side steps just a scrape

This frame support took the biggest hit of the day but saved my Catalytic converter!

Stock skid plate held up pretty well considering.

And this settles it, no fancy TRD rims for me. Rock rash would have been painful had I dropped several hundred on wheels. Lug nut was off because I was rotating all 5 tires.

I've thought about finding/making one for there on the hitch's mounting plate... Have the hitch but a separate tow point secured to the frame. .I didn’t know he had those. Thanks
Got the spare rim delivered on Friday and had it mounted up this morning.
Here is how the fit is underneath with a stock tow hitch.

Also had the resenator cut off and exhaust re-routed to exit behind the tire so Moab doesn’t flatten it!

Got around to mounting my 2 Gal H2O RotoPax

My 03 got some new Kuhmo tires and a nice hand wash!
Also got 2 new remote fob batteries and a new dome light relay lol. None of my interior lights were working, and I traced it down fairly quickly... was happy to find that it was a simple relay. Starting small here... this is the wifes new daily driver. Finally convinced her to get rid of the minivan for an SUV! This thing is butter smooth.
Nice turn around!! What do you want for one shipped to 84532?
Installed one of two rear Trail Tailor tow points, the other side will be installed once I shorten the exhaust.
This is rad and I'm interested, seeing how @reevesci turned that round (from your spec to a product) in like 32 hours.
Looks like you might want to lip yours around so you can feed a shackle pin or quick link in it and it not butted up against the tire (I'm sure it was probably just a quick fitment and pic).![]()

A set would be 85.00 red powdered (75.00 bare metal) with the new inner mill radiused shackle ID for a soft or steel shackle. My machinist is moving into a larger unit starting tomorrow and it'll be about 2-3 weeks before I could get a set made. But I have to run about 20 pair to make it cost effective.
I posted on the GXOR Facebook group and only a couple of guys showed any interest.

On another note, I chopped the rear of the exhaust off and installed the other tow point. Contrary to what others have stated, there was a volume increase upon losing the rear resonator, but at speed it is hardly noticeable. The exhaust does sound mean in the garage now.

Really? I had mine cut off but added a 90 and piped it out behind the wheel and I can’t notice any difference in noise. Maybe at least add a tip that points down and that might help.
The angle of picture is deceptive, there is tons of room between a shackle and the tire.
Copy that, RE: angle of pic, I see there's a health of field at play there. .
Your departure angle.looms healthy, any idea what it is, w/lift and no hitch?
That is some super quick turn around! I am loving the attention the GX is getting in the aftermarket, hopefully the demand increases.

Did a test run today before I leave for Moab this month and went back to the trail in Jacumba that did all of this damage before as stock. And man this is a tough trail! I didn’t hit underneath too much this time but I did scrape up both sliders and I think it took a bite out of all 4 wheelsWill get pics of the damage tomorrow.
