Better you than me! Tahoe has the least amount of snow I have ever seen this year. I'm over it personally. It makes my doors freeze!

nocents, great pic!

as much as shoveling the record snow sucked, i still wouldn't give it up...i love the snow. and i love the melt off. the snow was partway up the last two windows just 24 hours ago. it will be gone quick. still may be a little bit before the blue pig crawls out tho ;)

Not really to my pig, but for my pig..
I pulled the motor out of the 81 and set into the frame cradle I made to test running motors. It is my forest step in building my 2fe for my 69/72/78 pig....

today / weekend

Ive done a bit to my pig this week.
I installed my brand new Edelrock Performer intake manifold.
& I was also given a Carter Thermoquad 4 barrel spread bore. Ugly looking carby, but the motor runs so crisp the pipes crackle when changing gears ! Love it :D

I also found a wad of race car stickers, so i went crazy

SOR. It's installed along with the rest of the interior, all new window & door rubber on the entire truck, and the glass is back in! All I lack is a few misc. parts which are on the way including a like new factory radio. I'm working on an album of the hundreds of photos I took during the restoration the past 5 years.

Put in a tbi'd chevy 350, ranger and tranny /xfer case. Still doing the final couple things. Drive lines are at the shop and the exhaust to be done on Sat. Then.... I start it....

We all get our adrenaline fix in different ways but when your hand is on the key for the first time after so much work, it is like a killer off camber hill climb. Good Luck! :wrench::wrench::wrench:

Yeah, I'm freeking amped right now just thinking about it. The rig is a 3 hour drive away, so I can't mess with it each night after work. I have figured out the starter and alternator wiring, but can't just go do it.... I hope she makes the three hour and (7000 foot climb) drive home as the maiden voyage. :frown::steer:

If you get a chance this weekend, I'd appreciate some measurement for motor mounts, etc., since I'm just about to take out my SBC, 4 spd, and install a Ranger. I'll end up with a carbed 350, Ranger, '74 4spd. and the stock '55 radiator, which has been recored. Some idea of where to start will make things easier. Also like to know about tranny hump and driveshaft mods. Good looking install!

not today, but wednesday, pushed it forward so i could put up a privacy fence behind it. what a pita

Fitted my new cowbell to the front bumper...

Nice bell Pighead! Is that so you notice when you roll right over a sacramento mini truck?

I drove past Pigheads house today with my freshly installed TBI. 46 total hours from removal to drivable. Had a couple issues. When I first started it, it wouldn't turn off....:hhmm: had the alternator wired wrong. Then had to make sure the gauges worked. Took it for one test drive, then immediately drove it 3 hours, 150 miles and up 7000 feet in elevation back home. One hell of a maiden voyage! Only had one white smoke cloud in Placerville. Had a leaky oil filter, then back to passing people going uphill... YEAH! The used ranger overdrive is a little loud and cramped for my 6.5 feet. I'll be bending that stick tomorrow. Got a clunk in the driveline... might be the pinion flange as I changed those out. Got no codes the whole way. (and better gas mileage too). Also gotta figure out the clutch slave flex... and the parking brake.... and the.....
