Removed front and rear drive shafts, exhaust, some worthless wiring under the hood. Cut off and ground down old motor mounts.

I stared at it longingly and thought about whether to rebuild the blown F or drop in a Chevy 308 smallblock or 2F
Any tips on removing the driveshafts? Mine are stuck and I really don't want to strip the nuts.
I've always been able to get them with an air ratchet.

Today I removed the exhaust, clutch pedal, clutch master cyl. etc. Also removed the gas pedal assembly. I will not be needing these anymore, so if anyone is interested let me know. Will sell them cheap.

Do you have a pic of your clutch master? If it is the same as my '74 I will take that and the gas pedal assembly.
Just bought the last OEM FJ55 parking brake cable in Toyota's inventory.

Pulled the NV4500 out, replaced the T/O bearing with the right one, other one turned out not to be thick enough. T-case parking brake installed, slave cylinder routed and bled. Need to build a tranny tunnel and weld in the twin stick.
Now to finish rewiring it entirely with an EZ-Wiring kit!!!!

got my reconditioned fuel tank installed today. took baby for her first drive in months. too long in the coming, but better later than not at all.

From yesterday...fixed the cut on the rear cab and welded in the rest of the roof. Door tops fully welded.
Today, I measured out a side to put in the corner of the bed.
I was on such a roll, but classes start Monday, so it's gonna be slow going.

Yeah, I know that feeling!
Got the manifolds and carb installed. Dropped in the dizzy. Painted and mounted the overflow bottle bracket. Cleaned up the vacuum hose routing. The closer I get to finishing, the longer all the little stuff takes!

jfc80, Jason. Just curious, what is that bar for? Not stock, that is for sure. Never seen anything like it. Another thing I noticed, you have no fan shroud. You might end up overheating without one.

RSB.... thanks for the heads up, going to try and fit a shroud (its never had one) after ditching the blades of death for a plastic fan.
The bar is a handy PO mod; once ground off it served as the super hood support
this lil piggy has seen better days (and beater days) and so far each owner before me has flopped it. And it came from PA so it has its fair share of rust and especially on passenger side of the radiator support. Couple that with the body lift he threw on their and the tale tale signs of fan disintegration my thoughts were it was an attempt to prevent excessive flex of the radiator/cowl during wheeling.
