I loaded up my turntables and this afternoon im headed to a kid's birthday party. The young man is a Dj himself and we both DJ at a monthly reggae party. He asked last time if id dj his birthday (Young folks still respect the vinyl) and of course I agreed. So im taking a big box of vinyl and hour to town and doing an hour set for an awesome Young man, Jah Hugin!

Pulled the hood latch pin today, thought I’d just take some pics and make a post since this little PITA has popped up in a few posts in the past.
The spring seat doubles as the jam nut, as there is a captured nut that the pin threads into. I took the pressure off the spring with a couple of vise-grips, and as @J Mack has mentioned, used a big ol’ pair of Channel Locks and loosened the spring base/jam nut. From there it was using a large screwdriver (laterally) to break the pin loose, then just spun it out the rest of the way by hand. Piece of cake.
