Jesus, what the hell did they do with that thing??? Pull a Ferris Bueller? Someone obviously does not care about their customers, who was the shipper so we all can stay clear? Also, are they working with you to correct the situation?

The shipper is working with us, and I have the Lexus with Murf now. Next will be the Landcruiser. Unless you go across the border to and from Canada you will not come across the shipper. The driver took total responsibility and misjudged the distance when loading so that when the truck went hard left or right and in dip, like entering a drive at a truck stop, the bumpers made contact.
I am sure everything will turn out alright. Both the shipper and the sub-contractor have been very apologetic and want to make it right.

New water pump and timing belt idler pulleys on the 2000. Block cleaned up. heads go on tomorrow morning. With any luck, tomorrow night it will start to look like a 4.7 again. Goal is to have it drivable by next weekend. Will be tight with the work schedule.
Well, Finished up the axle rebuild and brakes on OZO yesterday. After all the work a little disappointed with the brakes. Perhaps I had overly high expectations of the performance outcome. While they are a lot better than before the work, they just seem....soft and underwhelming. Wondering now if I should have replaced the master cylinder just for GP's. It's suppose to be "New" according to the PO.
All cleaned up and with the correct seals in place. Learned, the hard way, that the TG kit I had was apparently NOT for the '93 LC but for a '93 4 runner. Miss packaged, miss boxed, miss informed...who knows what happened but with the correct kit everything went smoothly even though it did mean redoing things.
The new Birf's required that you use the later model axle flanges
Made three runs around the rig bleeding with the power bleeder and then took it out for a test drive and back in for three more rounds of bleeding.
The extra pad area on the front using the 100 series pads in the 80 make for a nice contact surface.
Started testing the wheel painting on the spare, once more, so much time cleaning to get it prepped. 22 years is baked on pretty hard.
OZO heads up to Brian Willingham on Monday for the new upholstery work. Looking forward to seeing how that transforms the look and feel inside.

Just finished rolling the new engine bearing in. Spent all of yesterday cleaning parts, blasting and painting as much as it made sense to do.
Hope to get it finished this week and go for a drive.

Anaerobic stuff is hands down the best stuff out. It's just hard to find.
I mentioned it to the manager a while back and looks like he found and ordered it.
This isn't the same stuff as ****bond or silicone.
This stuff only cures when oxygen is removed. Like machined edges of a engine case. But when it cures. It doesn't harden. And when oxygen contacts it. It turns to gel again.
It also doesn't start curing like the ****bond does out of the tube. So you can move the parts around before hand. Or take your time during assembly.
The downside is its not as thick as others. So you might have to re-shim stuff to get clearances back.
Thanks to Murf at CBT, new SLEE UCA, upper and lower ball joints, rack and pinion and new front brake lines. Other goodies that were installed are Coverking Ballistic seat covers and flush mount Polk audio speakers on all 4 doors.
OZO went to Brian Willingham yesterday for the new headliner, seats and door panels. It's a hike to get to his place in N. Phx. from our place in Queen Creek but I believe it is worth the trip to get "His Touch".
Not happy with the brakes, guess I should have replaced the master cylinder "just because" even though it is suppose to be new. Lots of pedal travel and will drift to the floor. So, new MC when she comes home and a bunch more bleeding I suppose. Then the lift and bushings all around.

Added this little pocket in the drivers rear quarter panel and removed the 3rd row seat belts.
Doing the T belt?
I remember thinking if my 100 series ever needed a starter, the TRD SC would have to be removed, not much fun... So when it was T belt time, that would be a good time to refresh the starter..
New head gaskets, valve job, timing belt, starter ,power steering line repair, fuel injector clean, replace heater tees, as well as new brakes frt and rear.
