I'm looking at moving on from my LX470 I assumed I'd always move into a 200 series, but I'm now thinking about the 1958. Anyone in the club move from a 100 series to a 250? Thoughts opinions, etc., would be appreciated.

From what I have had to do with the T24AFTS - I would not do it. Total transmission failures on over a dozen before 30k miles. Oxygen sensor throwing one into limp mode at 500 miles. Not enough engine for the size of the vehicle, will spend most its life stressed out, while the V8 is asleep on the highways easily. Not to mention, ive seen tacoma dudes lift it, and put LTs on them, and get worse MPG than the V6 did which we all know is impressively terrible. Father and son, son traded in his matching tacoma for a new one, lifted, LTs, and got 8mpg and the dad was still getting 12. Wont have that issue in the LC because of the hybrid system, but thats another CON to buying. that is my personal experiences with them at the dealership level.
 
I've had several 100s and have a 250 1958 now. Very different animals but both nice in their own special way. Feel free to DM me if you want to chat more.

I had a 2006 100 that I sold a few years ago and then my daily driver became a 2018 200. I then built the 200 up and was looking for a new daily driver because I did not want to put a bunch of miles on the 200 and get 13 MPG in town.
In June 2024 I found a "used" 2024 First Edition. It had about 1,700 miles on it. Nice thing was I did not have to pay the premium the dealers wanted for the First Editions.
It is (now was) my daily driver. I can be a little nitpicky about certain things in it, but it is a great driving vehicle. Was getting about 21 in town mostly back and forth to the office (8 miles each way). My wife drove it to Colorado in June and then I drove it back pulling a 6' x 12' Uhaul trailer. I had zero issues pulling the trailer. Honestly, I barely noticed I was pulling a trailer (besides the MPG). I averaged 13 MPG for the entire 800 mile trip.
The biggest complaint I have is the size of the gas tank. I think 17.9 gallons is too small. That said, if I pull our camping trailer with the 200, I get about 10 MPG which is about the same overall distance the 250 pulling a trailer got from a tank.
The only mod I did on the 250 is to swap the Toyota horns for the Lexus horns. I like the sound of the Lexus horns much better.
I loved my 100, but needed something a little stronger to pull the camping trailer, effectively.
If I were looking to buy a 250, I would take a hard look at the Lexus GX550 as well. It all depends on what you want on the vehicle. The GX will be a higher price point, but if you are worried about the hybrid on the 250, the GX has a great twin turbo engine (and I am told can be driving very efficiently to get you 19 MPG!).

Get a 300. Keep it real. Everybody and their brother has a new land cruiser. Trendy. Or grab an old 4.0 4runner. Does anyone really care about gas price if you drive these things? Really, the new Sequoia is nicer and bigger than the new mini cruiser. Looks better too imo, when lifted.
