Hello,

Are dash mats for LHD 70 Series available?

Juan

Started loading this years “Meet & Greet” raffle items for the trip north. I can now see why some folks buy Troopies. I just hope I don’t have to brake hard. 😁
** And no, this isn’t all of the items. 😊

Yes and no ……. 😁
The table is actually a Front Runner product and the cool logo was applied by one of Odd Iron’s customers who has awesome wood burning skills. 😊

I got one from Escape Gear in S. Africa. It's canvas and fits okay for my needs. The quality is good as with all their stuff. I like the pockets. It doesn't conform tightly to the dash contours like the carpeted ones pictured here which seem moulded to shape - it's just sewn up to basically fit. The ordering process specifies LHD vs. RHD so you can get either.

If you find they do make one that is compatible with the dash pod, let us know. I'd then have to choose between that and the Cruiser Store variant.

I do want to find one for those with the pod. I was really happy with the one I was using so I am going to look around today.

I got mine from here:

I have yet to install it though.

Edit: I actually went through these guys for the same product:

The edge binding definitely looks better on the Shevron brand one you found. Was it purchased out of Japan and through a proxy?

I got that one from ebay.com.au using the ausff.com.au proxy. I went back to the ebay storefront but that seller I used is no longer a registered user.

This is the frustrating part of trying to find parts for the 70 series prado. The companies that make prado parts only go back to the 90 series. A dash pad for the 70 series prado would be nice.

I wouldn't use a proxy but it seems like most Aussie ebay vendors will not ship to the US direct.

I went back in Email Time and found my order from Shevron Auto Accessories for dash cover. Includes gauge pod.

Went to the Toyota RnD facility today.
They were testing suspension and electric car fuel (coal).

Gotta say, very responsive… just wish it didn’t have the SIXT on the side.

I replaced the heavily-worn brushes in my BJ70 alternator. I picked this rig up in a fly-and-drive from AZ to OR recently, and the alternator failed partway into the drive! I made it home by being careful about running electrical accessories and minimizing shutting the engine off, but needed to fix this properly to drive it now that it is in my possession.

where did you find the parts at?

I found alternator and starter parts using the Denso numbers on each device.
I recall getting some stuff from a fork-lift company.

where did you find the parts at?
I put my VIN into www.toyodiy.com, navigated to the 24 volt alternator section within electrical, found the part number for brushes, copied the part number, and had the dealer order it from the Toyota parts warehouse. My truck is originally from Europe and 24 volt, I don’t know if parts availability will be the same for other BJ70s, but it is worth a shot.
