Tried to adjust the boost. Have the hallman controller all the way in clockwise, ie max boost. Only making 10# on the highway in 4th heavy on the gas. 6-8# in other driving.

the engine bay looks to be collecting a but more soot than normal.

Any thoughts or anything I should be concerned about? I'm a diesel and turbo dummy so please try to keep it simple! Thank you.

What did you have to do to see 13psi?

Long steady pull and it would slowly creep up or hit it and within a few seconds register 13?

Rear motor mount (used FJ62 mount) and a set of AISIN brake pads. Loading up tonight for CruiserFest

Went to collect this rediculously expensive switch that I broke at the weekend. From what I understand it opens a vacuum valve when the coolant reaches 50 decrees C

Thanks for your business. :)

Got a call this morning that my turbo was ready. I was going to go pick it up later in the week but I was too excited and got it back today. I have some Toyota gaskets on the way for the oil and coolant.
Oil: 15471-58010
Water: 16347-42020 (x2)

I’m guessing now is a good time to install my EGT and boost probes.
Also on my to-do list is to do my water pump. My coolant seems to be showing signs that either someone mixed colors or the pump needs a replacing.

Looks good! Finally shipped mine off to them today. Thanks again for the recommendation. Hopefully by the time it gets back I will be done with everything else I’m doing.

I feel you’re excitment (or struggle whichever is most suitable). You gave me motivation to get my injectors rebuilt. I just gotta remove them.
I’m glad you’re going with driftmotion. It’s good to support those businesses that serve our small niche.

Looks very nicely cleaned and done.

Added an non-OEM “diesel” badge to the grill I installed on the PZJ70.

Continuing down the rabbit hole...

Started with a necessary turbo rebuild (sent out and waiting on return) and injector rebuild (done--1 stuck open and 3 with opening pressures below spec) and has progressed to injection pump eval/reseal/rebuild (dropping it off tomorrow), new gaskets and bolts/studs/nuts throughout. Also will be replacing fuel lines and motor mounts that I ordered from @beno ages ago. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out how this all goes back together

@jfrench Change that oil pressure sending switch and/or install a T for a real oil pressure gauge while you can get to it!. Otherwise it is impossible to get to!
