They look like umbrella valve seals.

Thank you! I figured they were somehow for the valves. How do I figure out if I need to replace them, or do I just have to remove the valve springs and find out?

1. Look at the seals on your valves to see if you are comparing apples to apples.
2. If you are, and you don’t know when the last time was that the head was serviced, you should consider servicing the head and changing the seals.
3. If you take the head to a shop to have it serviced, you can get their opinion on the seals.
