I've been seeing a lot of the yellow 40 recently - is that new to the herd? Is there a thread on this one somewhere? It looks very...clean...

Weenie3 is still sadly waiting to be called home

That said, I picked up a real nice item for it yesterday that it’s really been needing.
Photos tomorrow

Really stoked to be the steward of these beautiful original floor mats for Weenie 3

Yeah, the owner was Not scared to spend the money on the reproduction mats but held out to get some that looked right with this project.

And of the record, I’ve been quite busy with other projects of others and my own so Weenie3 has been tucked away in my M416 shed for a couple of weeks and it fired right up like a champ.

just noticed it still has the 3spd. late 73 manufacture date?
10/73 so it has a F1.5 and a 3 speed. I really don’t hate the 3 speed as long as the brakes are good.

@wngrog I have just finished reading this entire thread. Really great work mate.......this build looks great!

Thank you sir. Learn something new every time I touch one.

I always use the JT Outfitters one. I have one on my 40, 55 and 60.
Question on your oil lines. Just installed the JT Outfitters header on my ‘68 with original F engine. I have an oil line coming out of the block that touches the final header pipe. How do you avoid this with your install?

thanks!
Charles

This truck has an F1.5 so it has a screw on filter.

I would Get a longer braided hose and wrap it where close

About a month this poor thing has been tucked away in a tight spot out of the weather but I choked it and the @FJ40Jim carb fired right up.

These lights are beautiful and Toyota sends you an upgraded plug and play harness as well as a big pack of zip ties.

I bought a set for all the Cruisers!

View attachment 2154617Do you by chance have the part number for the Headlights you ordered from Toyota? This project has been very interesting as I am restoring our 1965 FJ40. Thanks for all of the detailed posts.
Instead of jumping in and hooking up the lights (easy 1 banana job) I installed some new wiring upgrades knowing at least one more 12v wire is coming and a winch.

New Marine terminal and fastronix panel for a clean place to install constant 12v as needed.

Great quarantine read thread. I guess now I need to get out and work on my 73 rustic green. Summer is around the corner.

Got a beautiful set of jump seats and covered them with Cruiser Corps covers today along with a spit shine and Fluid Film rub

Took the first door into the shop. I’ve literally not looked at them in months. I was expecting the bottom to be rotten like 75% of them I’ve had are but I was very pleased that they look great

They would not roll up because the runners were so crusty.
I pulled them out and put in some from City Racer and they were so thick the windows won’t roll up. Anyone else have this issue?

I got the 360* sprayer tip out and hoses the inside of the door with Fluid Film.

How cool is it when you wind the original barriers are in place.
