I got my Christmas present mostly installed. The process was pretty straight-forward and very well explained by Kevin. I dreaded pulling out the old window molding but it was a breeze. I used a burnished screwdriver and a rear-brake adjustment tool for the most part. The only thing left is to install the window-actuators and route the wiring that pops the latches open.

And I discovered a few things since installing the windows:

1) I had rust under the old window molding.

2) If the windows move up and down very quickly, the truck can fly :D

Looking at that makes me sore with regret for selling my FJ62.

OH GOD I can't wait to have the money for a set. Might have to sell a testicle or something.....

those are killer.....

Those look cool. My question is: Other than looking cool, what practical application do they serve? How are they better than the Aussie ones I have that arrived tinted and with screens?

Getting replacements for any part you might happen to break is as easy as getting a hold of Kevin and waiting for it to get to you from Eugene, OR. Supporting someone in the Cruiser community who makes some outstanding stuff as well.

Also they use the single piece factory glass, so intrusion of outside sound is minimized, and you can open these from outside your locked vehicle :D

I think the primary reason Kevin came up with these is because it can be rather cumbersome getting into your rear cargo area when you have a swing out tire carrier on your bumper. Having to open the tire carrier. Then the rear hatch, then the tailgate. This way you insert a key, turn a knob and you have very easy access to the cargo area. I want so badly. But unfortunately I first need a tire carrier, and rock sliders, and a roof rack that alone is what.....about $2,500 plus the $1,200 for the conversion. damn truck is a money pit lol

Very nice!! I would only need one :hhmm:

Those are great, Is it an electric switch that operates the actuator to open them from the inside?

Kevin, great idea I have several other products and I am sure these are quality also.
