Only reason I wanted sooner was we're taking the cruiser up to Hardy for a couple days. So of course a new noise develops...
I ordered from aus. Shipping from Amayama was $140 from FedEx which seemed a bit much.
Just spent a few minutes with the stethoscope at the front of the truck.
Was pretty sure it was the alternator not wp, but just to see if it was a freaky belt noise I gave it a tiny squirt of WD. Noise gone.
So looks like it's just belt noise. I'm ok with that. Be good to have a spare wp anyways.

I’m an advocate of better safe than sorry. Should get a stethoscope myself, put it to my head
and listen for weird sounds. Apparently Japan Post has suspended shipping to Canada so courier
rates apply. When you go through Amayama are your shopping in canadian dollars?

Yeah it was CAD. Aisin wp was $67, but $140 to ship it.
So I ordered something from that Online auto parts in aus. $75 ish including shipping.
Who knows what brand, but this will probably be my spare in a bag in the truck pump.
Pump that's installed is only 3 or so years old. Shouldn't fail yet, but ....
Sounds kinda hinky....I've never had that kind of heavy shipping cost except in Canada.
Yeah I replied with a succinct no thanks, shipping from aus via DHL was under 40 bucks.

I rebuilt a 3b Toyota water pump. You need a 12 ton press to get that shaft and bearing out, hot dam! It’s tight.
2H pump housings are unobtainium as I recall.
Thought Rob was supposed to be supplying parts (terrain tamer)???
I replaced my pump last year or year before or longer… who knows. It was just the impeller available, so I also bead blasted and painted the housing to get a few more years out of it.
Stash housings if you can find them.

I only ordered the impeller part, and a rando Aussie knockoff at that because the cheapness was strong in me right then.

I got a complete one from Steve at EBI about 1.5 yrs ago. Can't remember the brand but price was ok.

I'd have taken these off your hands a month ago when I was on the island for sure. Could use spares since a couple of mine have more rust pitting than ideal. Not likely to be back on the coast until next summer though. Hope you dont end up scrapping them
If you can come to agreement, I’m in Ladysmith and could maybe pile them out back. I’m only home for one more week. Not likely now to come down to Victoria before that as I have too much to do around the house
before being gone for 5 weeks. Let me know if we can work something out if BC40 really wants them. They are rare and probably hard to find for someone who wants/needs them
