I done something similar recently to my 1hd-ft
I purchased a new valve cover from Toyota & had that ceramic coated blue.

Turbo housing's are also polished alloy (but not fitted yet)
Next is to purchase new exhuast manifolds & have them ceramic coated black.
Hamo
looks good. Don't forget to connect that vac line at the back. You did a great job! I recently replaced the valve cover gasket + spark plug seals in effort to stop the leaking that was happening at the rear of the valve cover. Figured while it was off I would paint the cover and add some unnecessary bling to the Toyota emblem, haha.
Just like you, I used wrinkle black for the cover and added a new 1FZ badge. This was the first mechanical project I've taken on (other then oil changes) and I found it to be a fun process.
