Most medication and antiseptics are still good way past their expiration date. THe FDA requires the date... But in many cases it was found to be arbitrary.... The DOD warehouses tons of prescription meds and after performing a study realized in many cases the expiration date was not accurate to determine efficacy. But you are probably refering to aspirin, Tylenol, h202, neosporin..... It's cheap insurance to replace them. Sunlight damages the h202, but unless everything else is 5 years past the date it's still probably okay...
And while we are at it, technically if you decide to take some pills out of your home bottle and carry them in a baggie, it's illegal because they are no being carried in an original labeld container...I go harrassed on that years ago for some aspirin....

I daily carry a little pill container in my pocket with 3 different medications. I have been given a few 'looks' when I pull it out in public.

Yep. I don't have any scrips.

Thanks for the reminder. I think I knew this at some point and had forgotten. I'll find the individual packets.

Lol...yeah there is a beautiful live oak slap up against the condo and a few more between here and the beach....I'll try and take a picture from the beach all the live oaks have grown toward the inland, I believe it is from all the wind over the years

Make sure you go to the driftwood beach. Renting a condo?

Jekyll rocks...enjoy!

The condo was built probably in the 70's it's 2 bedroom 1 bath( you can get a 2 bath unit of you had 2 family's in one unit) huge living room with a balcony or porch off it, functioning kitchen, one bed room has 2 single beds and the other has a queen in it, you can rent a crib(which we did), the couch is a pull out bed. I know it's not the most up to date place but it has your typical beach furniture inside, fairly new burbor carpet, and it's functional...the beaches are wide open and the island has a great deal of history and there is a ton to do with ....we stayed here two years ago and are back....the kids love it and this is the wife's favorite place...and we're paying less than you would pay to stay in a hotel here....if you are looking for peaceful and laid back this is the place, if you want the rental info hit me up and I'll get it to ya, plus this same company has a ton of other places too.

So when my first aid kit has expired, that just means I should replace the medication correct? Not dressings and bandages, etc.

Just checking before I go to the store.

Thanks

Medications and any sterile packed bandages other stuff is good for ever. Doc:)

Chuck, I'm interested in the rental info. Your pm box is full.
