and this is the newest member of the family!

He has pooped and pee'd in the house way too many times to count, he cries all night long even when he's with the other dogs but on the bright side seems this weekend we've finally got him going outside on a regular basis. Gotta love paper trained puppies from the rescue center!!!

no that's not poop on the window...that's mud!!! We went wheeling in a few local spots the past 2 weekends.

I don't know what he is but he's a bit annoying!

Chews on everything and already clawed/ate his way through a crate.

Solar Panels- Getting off the grid...

So last night Columbia's idiot law makers passed a deal that allows SCE&G to charge us 5% on our energy bill to fund the transportation authority that the city can't seem to afford anymore. Don't even get me started about how we don't even need the system. So I instantly got furious and thought about sticking it to the man. I figured I could switch to propane instead of natural gas, and maybe install some solar panels for the electricity.

Well, first off, propane is a lot more expensive than what I am paying for natural gas, and I am not even sure if the city will let me switch. I believe if you live close to a gas main you have to tie into it.

Secondly I added up the energy usage on my house, and it would be a minimum investment of $25k to install panels on the roof. Assuming I don't have to pay any maintenance on the system, it would pay for itself in 20 years.

My conclusion is this. I have to keep paying to the man. If I want to get off the grid I will have to sacrifice my way of life and move to a smaller house in a rural area. Oh what we pay for convenience.

u should consult mdennis on this issue. There may be other ways to stick it to the man without using solar panels for the whole house.

watching the 1986 transformers movie with the kids. Not beast wars or any of that other transformers crap. Know your roots man, know your roots.

Soundwave superior...Constructicons inferior!

I love Soundwave, and the old Megatron toy that turned into a Walther P38 was bad-ass!

finished up my tie rod ends today. When i tried to put grease in them one of them leaked out the other side. Gotta figure that one out when on the lift for alignment. Next is the ps pump.

someone has too much time on there hands.

I have been given permission...

...to buy a Bug...

...and race it! :steer::steer::steer::steer: :hillbilly:

can you actually use the words "Bug" and "race" in the same sentence??? I mean don't get me wrong I love Herbie and all but wouldn't you want something that was actually fast? Or do you surcribe to the whole tortoise and hare philosphy :hillbilly:

seriously though....... cool! What year?? I had a '73 super beetle as my first car

I don't have any time on my hands. Worked 14 hours yesterday - will do the same today.

Agreed, you need to have some kids Steve.

Jeremy

Not yet.

I want something cheap and easy to work on. If I total this thing then the most money I have into it will be a pair of racing seats, 5 points, fuel cell and roll cage. All but the cage will probably be reusable.

If I decide to do something else (read: faster) I can do that later.
