I was kidding of course... just visualizing a scene from the non-existent sequel to Ferris Bueller's Day Off :)

If you had access to a Land Cruiser like this, would you take it back right away?

Neither Would I.

Guys I took a ride in this rig Yesterday and it is the S _ _ T!!! P Sims is my friend and he even let me drive it, ALITTLE. I'm a FJ55 man myself but this 100 is now the real deal.

O !!! I'm trying to talk him into painting side panels black. What do you guys think adout that?

painting the side panels black would look alright......linexing the entire rig white would truly make it the white rhino!

Xline would take the class out the rig. It would look like your beater trail rig. Some nice painted mat black moldings would tie the front and rear bumpers together. That's my thoughts on it.

I may be wrong, but I believe that there is xline without the texture?

It supposed to be a trail rig, and besides anyone who looks at this thing, line-xed or not, and thinks its beater probably doesnt know enough about how much stuff like this costs to be passing judgement

Also, who cares what others will think, he should do what he likes and what is practical for him, not make the decision based on whether or not people will think its "classy"

On a technical note, line-x cannot be sprayed on completely smooth, they can make the surface less rough, but it will always have some texture to it

3 weeks in

I just wanted to give you guys and update, after having the "White Rhino" for at least three weeks. It does take some getting used too. First this thing is a monster, pictures do not do it justice. I call it a 100 on a steroids.

It does not drive a smooth as it was before, but we knew that going in. But it drives very smooth for being a solid front axle, and having 35 inch tires. It gets about 13 miles per gallon, based on scan gauge, driving it from Golden to Houston. I have been able to compare driving mine with an 80, of comparable set up, and this beast beats it hands down. This is just road driving I am talking about, I have not had a chance to wheel it yet, but as soon as I get a chance, I will let you know how it handles. There is not front sway bar, so it take a change in driving style, the 100 is still wide enough to remain stable, but must remember this is not a sports car and no fast turns. Its quieter then the 80, has more power then the 80, just a overall nicer ride than the 80. It stops on a dime, despite the weight. It holds speeds between 75-80 with out problem, with more speed if you want, but not sure I want to go any faster. How it wheels has yet to be determined, but I can't see any reason why it should not do just as well as the 80. Without a doubt, this is the expedition rig that I have always wanted, and can't wait to explore the USA.

Man, that thing is awesome....
How are those Wrangler MT/R's with Kevlar??

So far so good, I am pleased with them, they are louder than I am used to, but not that bad, esp with the windows up. I have driven them on the beach, aired down to 15 PSI, and with out any problems.

I'll be looking for it around Houston....Won't be hard to spot!

Great work. Makes me realize how much can be done with good planning and a lot of $$$:)

Now that is role model for my 00!

Out of curiosity, why the 80 snorkel?
Christo, wanna quote us for an SAS group buy?

Great looking Hundy!

any feedback about the tires on road manners .?

I have not yet had the opportunity to drive them on wet roads, so how they handle I can't just say right now. As for everyday street driving, I have no complaints, they handle the road very well even at 85-90 mph. You can tell that the tires have an aggressive tread pattern when you corner.

let us know how they perform when you put more miles over 'em .. and I'm concerned with those agresive thread pathern .. looks it can wearout pretty easy on road .. ( it's the compound hard or soft . ? )
