I believe regular 850's plus the spacers are equivalent to the J's with no spacers. J's are pretty tall by themselves. Save the spacers for when you go up to 40's. You might need them then.

All polished up. It's not perfect, but it's perfect for Moonshine.

I pulled my front drive shaft, went to dinner, and then a play At 10pm test drove Cruiser without driveshaft. Reinstalled driveshaft and rotated tires. I finished at 12:30pm witha beer and bourbon.

New rear wheel bearing in the camry. Sooooo much quieter.

So it doesn't sound like it's stuck in low gear anymore?

Exactly!

Cruising off-road skid plates for transmission and transfer case.

I won’t be installing them today but wanted to show you guys these 1/4 inch steel bad boys. I know I talked to some of you about them yesterday but I couldn’t remember the name off the top of my head.

I got the same ones Friday. Jason had one left, unpainted though. So will rattle can in when the rain stops.

Long Day of working on the LS430 yesterday since out lease on the apartment will be up soon and it can come out of storage and be driven more often.
took 12 quarts of trans fluid out and put in 12 new clean quarts of Toyota T-IV
Bought some high quality nylon interior tools to take interior panels off and not scratch them since the price of replacements would make me cry. fixed a few bad bulbs in the dash with LEDs. Took apart the center console and fixed a cupholder arm that Andrea had snapped off last year. Pulled apart my drivers side mirror that used to just swing and found out the problem with the motor popping off track and fixed it with a 10 cent piece of heater hose. (saved myself about $350-$500 on the used market for this color) Then took out the rear seats and rear deck to pull out the broken sunshade and replace with a used one I was lucky enough to find. $200 vs $1500 new. That took a ton of time because those rear sets have power head rests, recline, heat, cool, massage, etc... so had a million attachments on them that I had to be super careful with.... add that that two of the side panels are made out of suede I took my time on this one. Had to break the old shade, that was stuck in the up position so I could get to the bolts behind it. But now the trans shifts like butter... will roast the tires with the VSC turned off, and the mirror and shade work perfectly again.

Changed 4 spark plugs also that I had left over from the ones I bought the cruiser.

Does anybody know where to get the taller anti-inversion shackles for the front of an fj60? Man-a-fre is out of stock and read jt's were not that great. Getting tired of my 60 being nose down. TIA!

If your truck is lifted with an OME setup, it may already have the anti inversion tabs installed on the shackle mounts. OME does provide them. You can get them here as well: FJ40, FJ45, FJ60, FJ62, BJ Old Man Emu - Anti Inversion Kit

Some folks choose not to weld them on...not sure why. Anyhow, if you do have them, just get some slightly longer barbell shackles and rock on. I got my shackles from CCOT. 1-1/2" HFS Shackles. They work just fine.

I need some expert advice from anyone that has replaced a brake booster on an FJ80. It started intermittently (about 1x week) and now I need to use both feet to stop the truck. I have 19 mmHg vacuum to the booster and the check valve is good and no leaking brake fluid any where. I bought a new toyota booster on ebay (big $$$) but I want it to last 22 more years like the one I'm replacing. What advice can you give me before I start the replacement. I have the FSM and it talks about a SST that is for adjusting the booster push rod. Do I need this or can it be done without it. Any tips or tricks before I start would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kurt
