I haven't driven my 80 in a few weeks....I know...blasphemy. I tried to start it LAST Thursday before heading on strip just to let it run for a few minutes. Wouldn't start....never had an issue starting before....and I know the first thing that people say is 'fusible links', but when I put the key in the ignition and turn it the dash lights turn on and the battery light is on. Doors won't lock with FOB or with door button. 7.6 volts. Dead battery? Date on the battery says 12/12. I haven't tried to jump it bc I can't find my jumper cables....I will just go grab some new ones. Should I even jump it and see if it will keep a charge or is it toast? Probably disconnect and run it to Vato Zone tomorrow.

Do you have the security system? [I assume] That would always run mine down after about 2 weeks, even with a die-hard platinum that was only a year old. You need a battery tender maybe.

I am not sure if it is the original alarm, but it does have an alarm....Code Alarm. Maybe just jump it off and let it charge back up and check it the next day?

i've done it before to get going, but 7v is pretty low. under 9v it may not be recoverable. I used to jump mine, drive it, and it would be dead in 1.5-2 weeks of sitting. I eventually got one of these and it will recharge it and maintain it, but it takes a long time because of the low capacity. I think it will throw an error if the batt can't be charged (if it is bad).

Just finishing the bulletproof (with a few supporting mods). It's been quite the month.

I just finished my EGR delete, awning fix, coolant flush, and LSPV delete. I've got green stripe and breezer clamps for my PHH and heater hose replacement. After that, I need to replace some leaky power steering lines.

I replaced the front brake pads with the Bosch ones listed under this thread:

Bosch Pads and Rotors Review- 100 series/LX470

In the hopes that the left front inside that was worn down more than others was a fluke - but when trying to bed them in today it pulls hard to the right.... so I am guessing new or rebuild the driver side front caliper....

MSC sells that brand of sleeve material.

I need about four different sizes I need based of some other wiring I want to do do. I was looking for a place local that I could see it in person. Might just try to order a foot of everything and figure it out that way.
