After much back and fourth on tires and rims, my Bank account won and I am going to rock the 16 inch split rims I already have for my fj55. the power king super traction is what I am going for. at 150$ per wheel they seem like a good deal. What tubes are you all running in your splits? Can you share a link?

That's a good price. Priority Tire has them for $180, email them and ask about tubes. I don't know if you run radial tubes in a bias tire - fairly certain bias tubes don't work radial tires. Be sure and consider valve location and make sure you have a good liner

Between my 45 Troopy and 75 Pickup I have 11 of those tire, rim, tube combinations. Having said that, I have never purchased a spare tube. I had new 7.50r16 tires mounted on two new rims in Saudi but the tire shop supplied the liners and tubes. I think you want a tube with a TR75A valve stem which is an all metal stem with a 90 degree bend. Be careful of the length of the stem though. One of my rims on the pickup has a longer valve stem which I think is undesirable.

I would think if the tire is rated for radial tires then it's fine for bias ply but not visa versa. The issue with tubes in radial tires is the additional flex in the radial tire sidewall can wear a hole in a tube. I think they just make the tubes rated for radials thicker, but I don't know that for a fact.

+1 for the TR75.
Tubes aren't too common these days and I found mine at an agricultural tyre shop. They also sold the flaps, although mine were actually in good condition after a clean up.

Regarding the tyres themselves; you need to be careful to find one with the correct bead shape - this is not standard across all tyres, and tubeless tyres are technically different.

I'm running yokohama super hajaris on 60 series split rings (heavy AF).
Also note that the wheels are really hard to split when they're rusty, so if you're changing the tyres, then it's a good time for a clean up and a coat of paint
Also; don't hurt yourself doing it.

Good point on the tires and something I haven't given much though to. My tires say "Tube Type" on the sidewall.
